Love Brings Us Home-A Coffee And Cards Collaboration With Celeste And Deb

Hello, and welcome to another coffee and cards collaboration with Celeste and Deb! We have another guest designer with us this month; the crafty and talented Jennifer Scull of Just Coffee Please...& Stamp, & Ribbons, & Paper. I just love the name of her blog! Our theme this month is "Geek It For The World. " I think Deb and Jennifer were gearing their cards toward science and earth theme but I just wanted to do something with the earth on it in honor of Earth Day, which was yesterday. My crafty friend Becky is a member of the Unity Stamp Company's kit of the month club and she lent me her kit from February to play with for a few weeks. The kit, Unexpected Places, has this beautiful globe and sentiment in it and I just couldn't resist cracking it out and inking it up! I created my card by inking the stamp up onto some Copic-friendly cardstock and cutting it down into a smaller panel using a stitched rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I layered a pretty piece of blue ombre polka dot paper from the Jen Hadfield Home+Made 6x6 paper pad onto my card base. I colored the image in using my alcohol markers and popped the focal panel up off of the card using some 3M foam tape. I went over the land portion of the globe and the sentiment with my Sakura clear jelly roll pen for some pretty shimmer.  A few black sequins from Pretty Pink Posh completed this pretty card.

As for my beverage this week, I opted for a nice hot mug of Bigelow's Vanilla Chai black tea. I am training for a City to City run coming up next month and ran 8.5 miles this morning in the rain and mud and I just can't seem to get warmed up. I thought tea would help hit the spot on a cold, rainy day and it did.
Anyway, thank you for visiting my blog. Be sure to pop on over to Deb and Jen's blogs and show them some love by leaving a comment!

Beautiful card Celeste. How lucky to have a friend nearby that can share her crafty stash! Good luck on the Marathon!

Yes Terri, I'm lucky to have Becky nearby. She's not just a crafty friend...she's a friend who has been a great help to me and I owe her a lot! And girl, I wish I could run a marathon. I'm not quite there yet. This race I will be doing next month is only 9.1 miles, not 23 miles. LOL

Thank you Liz! I have to admit that I had forgotten about the collaboration until the last minute so this one was created in the last hours of the day.
