O Night Divine

Today's card was created for the latest 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and Addicted To Stamps card challenges. To create my card I started by taking some light blue cardstock I had in my stash and inking some Tim Holtz distress inks in faded jeans and prized ribbon around the edges to create a night sky. I then die cut the nativity using black cardstock and the Hero Arts Nativity A2 cover die plate, and then selectively trimmed away the parts I didn't want. I adhered the Nativity piece to the ink blended background panel and then popped them up with foam tape. Before adhering the panel onto my card I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Sing Of The King stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. Once that was dry I popped up my focal panel and added some stars using my Sakura white jelly roll pen. I love how simple and easy this card was to create. Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Just A Note To Say

My card today was created for the latest Fusion Card Challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the music notes from the Kaisercraft Sheet Music border stamp directly onto my white A2 card base using Versafine onyx black ink. I stamped the sentiment from Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set to the right above the border. I then stamped the flowers from the Papertrey Ink Funky Flowers stamp set using red, yellow, and black inks from Gina K Designs. I fussy cut them out and popped them up off of the card using 3M foam tape. To finish off my card I added some multi sized black gems I got from Simon Says Stamp in various places around the card and in the centers of each flower. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Sending An Ocean Of Birthday Wishes

Hello, and happy Sunday! Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. To create my card I started by stenciling the background onto my A2 white card base using the My Favorite Things Wave Maker stencil and Tim Holtz distress ink in broken China. I then took some Prized Ribbon distress ink and smooshed it onto the card using a cellophane panel and some spritzed water. I stamped the sentiment from The Cat's Pajama's Seas The Birthday stamp set directly onto the card base using Versafine onyx black ink. I then stamped the octopus and party hat from the same stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock, colored it with my alcohol markers, and fussy cut the image out. I popped the image up off of the card using some 3M foam tape, added some white gel pen details, and a few sequins from The Ton to finish off this cute birthday card!

Hand Picked For You-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and happy Sunday! This month Deb and I thought it would be fun to create gnome cards, since they are so popular right now. I created my card by partially stenciling the front of my white A2 white card using Stampin' Up's daffodil delight ink and a fun honeycomb stencil from TCW. I then stamped the sentiment from the Stampendous True Friends stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink so I could get a nice crisp impression. On some Copic-friendly white cardstock I stamped the gnome and butterfly from the Inkadinkado Garden Gnome stamp set, colored them with my alcohol markers, and fussy cut them out. I attached them to my card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I finished off my card by adding some white gel pen details the images. I'm not very good at clean and simple cards but this was was so easy and fun to create!
So, my small town in Southeast Missouri has recently had a boom in coffee shops, some commercial and some small, locally owned. I popped in to a little place here called Mana-Tea and happened upon the most amazing Vietnamese coffee I've ever had! So rich, creamy, and delicious. Now be sure to pop on over to Debra's blog and see how she was inspired by our gnome challenge!

You're Magical

Happy hump day! Today's card was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches and There's A Stamp For That Challenge. To create my card I embossed a piece of white cardstock using a Darice cloud embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampendous Unicorn Dream stamp set directly onto the embossed panel, and then popped the panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape. I stamped, colored, and die cut the unicorns and rainbow from the Close To My Heart Unicorn Dreams stamp/die set. I popped them up off of the card following the sketch. I then added some clear rhinestones from Recollections and some white gel pen details to finish off this adorable unicorn card. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Let It Snow

My card was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches and Jingle Belles card challenges. I started by layering some patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Vintage Christmas 6x6 paper pad onto my card. I die cut a circle panel using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and then did some light inking on the background with Tim Holtz distress ink in faded jeans. I stamped the adorable images from My Favorite Things Cozy Winter Wishes onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut them out, and adhered them directly onto my inked circle panel, with the exception of the snowman and one of the trees, which I popped up with Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. Using Memento London fog ink and a small snowflake stamp from Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe I added some snow to the background. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set using Memento tuxedo black ink at the bottom of one of the strips of patterned paper. I adhered the panel to the card and finished it off by added some smokey grey 6mm sequins from The Ton to the card. I just love that adorable little snowman and can't wait to use the stamp set again!

News Flash-Happy Birthday

I created this fun, pink card for the latest The Sisterhood Of Crafters card challenge. The challenge was create anything pink. To create my card I started by layering some 1.5" strips of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Penelope 6x6 paper pad directly onto my white A2 card base. Then stamped the birthday sentiment from the Stampin' UP Approaching Perfection onto white cardstock using Versafine onyx black ink. I covered it with Zing clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then stamped the candles from the same Stampin' UP stamp set using clear Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed it with Magical Mysteries embossing powder in fairy wings pink and hit the flames with a little Ranger holographic embossing powder for a little extra shimmer. I heat set them and then die cut the panel down using a Pink & Main stacking rectangle die. I die cut the layered panel in pink cardstock from my stash that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. To finish off my card I popped the panel up using 3M foam tape and added some pretty clear rhinestones from Recollections to the corners of the panel and the flames of each candle. Thank You

Happy Sunday! Well, summer has officially descended on the Midwest. It's quite hot outside today and my desire to be out there sweating is pretty slim. LOL. So, I'm inside until later this evening creating cards. Today's card was created for the latest AAA Cards Challenge. I kept this card pretty simple. I stamped the floral images from the Bo Bunny Floral Flourishes stamp set (which I picked up at my local Tuesday Morning for a whopping $2.99) directly onto my A2 white card base, keeping the stamping to the left border of the card. I then stamped the sentiment from the Winnie & Walter The Big, Bold, & You stamp set at the lower right portion of the card. I added a little visual interest by adding some dots from the Stampendous Sunny Flowers stamp set. To finish the card off I added some pretty pearlescent watercolor paint (another cheap find at Tuesday Morning) in purple and green to the blooms. So, simple and easy to create! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you have a lovely weekend, and please remember to stay cool!

Merry Christmas

Hello and happy Friday! Today's card was created for the latest Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. To create my card I started by layering some cherry cobbler cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 sized card base. I then die cut the Flurry Frame from Mama Elephant using some plain white card stock and popped it up off of my card using foam adhesive strips from Stampin' UP. I then die cut the banner and the snowflake circle from the same Mama Elephant die set using more white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe stamp set using Gina K Design basic black ink. I stamped the adorable image from Mama Elephant's Hot Cocoa stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored it using my alcohol markers, and then fussy cut the image out. I edged it with my dual tip Memento marker and added some white gel pen details to the image, and adhered it onto the die cut snowflake circle panel from the same Mama Elephant die set. I cut a floral piece of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas 6x6 paper pad and adhered that directly to the card at the center of the snowflake panel. I added the snowflake circle panel and the sentiment banner to the card using more foam strips from Stampin' UP. To finish off the card I added some small black gems from a diamond art kit that I had. I just couldn't throw them away and thought they would make good elements on cards! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Loads Of Love For Dad-Send A Smile 4 Kids

Hello! Welcome to the May Send A Smile 4 Kids card challenge. This month we are creating cards for Dads. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable little dump trucks from the Hero Arts Happy Dad's Day stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored them in primary colors using my alcohol markers and then punched them out using a Stampin' UP 1 1/4" square punch. I matted them onto basic black cardstock and cut them out leaving a small 1/8" frame around them. I stamped the sentiment from the same Hero Arts stamp set onto some kraft cardstock using Gina K Designs basic black ink. I added some American Crafts white twine around the bottom of the card and adhered it to the card by adding a basic black button I had in my stash. I popped each of the dump truck tiles up off of the card using 3M foam tape and adhered them to the card around the sentiment. I added some black dashed lines around the outer edge of the card for some visual interest and contrast and then popped the whole panel up off of my white A2 card base using more 3M foam tape. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created for this fun challenge!
