Friends Are The Gardeners Of Our Souls

Hello and happy Sunday! I created my card today for the latest Just Us Girl's card challenge. I was browsing through my local Hobby Lobby yesterday and happened upon the cutest little gnome stamp set and couldn't resist buying it. As soon as I saw this challenge today I knew I had to use it. I started by stamping the gnome images from Inkadinkado's Garden Gnome stamp set onto Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers and the colors in the photo as my guide. I then die cut the images down to a focal panel using a Paper Rose stitched rectangle die. Using patterned papers from the Little Yellow Bicycle Fern & Forest 6x6 paper pad I created a fun backdrop for my focal panel. I then stamped the sentiment from the Stampendous True Friends stamp set and die cut it out using a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things. I finished my card off by scattering a few clear rhinestones from Recollections around the sentiment and main images. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Hello Spring-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and happy Sunday! Today marks the first day of Spring so Deb and I decided to celebrate by creating cards that celebrate Spring. To create my card I started by stamping and coloring the bird houses from Unity Stamp Company's KOTM March 2019 Gather Love onto white cardstock, colored them using my Copics, heat embossed them for a crisp shiny look, and fussy cut them out. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto more white cardstock, heat embossed it, and fussy cut it out. I stamped the butterfly from Unity Stamp Company's Go Get It Girl stamp set, colored it, embossed it, and fussy cut it out. I then die cut a circle panel using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and stamped the house image again, colored it, and heat embossed it. I layered some beautiful patterned papers from the American Crafts Welcome Spring 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I adhered the houses directly onto the white circle panel and then popped the sentiment and butterfly up off of the card using 3M foam tape. To finish my card off by adding some clear rhinestones by Recollections around the focal panel.
I had to stop in to my local Panera today while doing my grocery shopping and opted for a nice iced almond vanilla cold brew! Now, be sure to stop by Debra's blog and see what springtime fun she created this month!

Just Bee-cause

Hello and happy Saturday! We got a snow last night and it's around 21 degrees here today in Southeast Missouri. It's a bit cold to play outside, so I opted to do some light house cleaning and card making today. This card was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches card challenge. I created my card by embossing black cardstock from Stampin' UP using a Momenta honeycomb embossing folder. I adhered the panel to my white A2 card base. I then added a strip of patterned paper from Pink & Main's Spring Color Pop's 6x6 paper pad to the botton. To help distinguish from the embossed panel and the patterned paper I punched an edge of bright yellow cardstock from Hobby Lobby using a EK Success decorative punch. I adhered that strip at the seam between both panels. I then stamped the bee, the sentiment, and the decorative leaves from the Hampton Art's Hello Honey stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I added a bit of color to the bee and the sentiment using my alcohol markers. I then die cut the panel using a decorative die from Spellbinders. I popped the panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape and added a few black gems from Ki. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Coffee And Friends Make The Perfect Blend

Hello and happy Friday! It's snowing here in SE Missouri. I guess winter is not done with us yet. I decided to do a little crafting and created a card for the latest Sunday Stamps card challenge. I created my card by layering some textured kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white A2 card base. I then layered a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park Hello Valentine 6x6 paper pad on top. I die cut a circle from some plain white cardstock using a stitched stacking circle die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the coffee and donut from the Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Break stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored them with my alcohol markers, fussy cut them out, and adhered them to my die cut circle panel using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Bo Bunny Cup A Joe stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. To finish my card off I added some pretty clear rhinestone from Recollections around the focal panel for a little sparkle and shine. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

I'm A Lucky Girl

Hello and happy Sunday! Today's card was created for the latest Just Us Girls card challenge. I saw a great plaque the other day that had a four-leaf clover on it and the saying "Friends are like four-leaf clovers. Hard to find and lucky to have." I absolutely love that and wanted to create a card with that on the inside for my bestie, who has had a pretty rough year. For the outside of the card I started by die cutting the Close To My Heart background stitched lattice plate and cutting it at a diagonal. I then cut down some four-leaf patterned paper that I've literally had in my stash for so many years I can no longer recall who makes it. I edged it with some Kelly green cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I adhered all of it to my A2 card panel. I die cut an oval using a MFT pierced oval die using the same green cardstock, adhered it to the card, and added dashed lines around the outer edge using my white gel pen. I then die cut the t-shirt from the MFT Girly Graphic die and stamp set and then stamped the four-leaf clover in Memento ivy green ink. I stamped the sentiment right over it using Gina K Designs basic black ink. I popped the t-shirt up off of the focal panel using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I finished my card off by added some clear rhinestones in various sizes from Recollections. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Another Year Older? Send A Smile 4 Kids

This month our Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge is to create card for boys. I'm a complete sucker for Darcie's Heart & Home critters so I had to stamp the sweet little skunk from the Busy Beaver clear stamp set and color him as well as the stump and mushroom from the set. I fussy cut them out and then added them to a die cut circle panel I created using a My Favorite Things stitched edge circle die. Using my Copic markers I created grass and then created the sky using the My Favorite Things small cloud stencil and some Tim Holtz distress ink and a blender tool. I attached the stump, the skunk, and the mushroom onto the panel and then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto the upper left side of the panel. I layered some patterned paper from the American Crafts Autumn Crisp 6x6 paper pad onto my A2 white card base and then popped the the focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape. Love how cute this card turned out. I can't wait to see what everyone created this month for our challenge!

Have A Very Merry Christmas

This month I have the honor of being a guest designer at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge, and I could not be more excited! I absolutely love sketches but must say that this one took me a bit out of my comfort zone. I started with some Kelly green cardstock and layered that on top of my white A2 card base. I then cut some triangles from the Pebbles Wintertime Wishes 6x6 patterned paper pad and adhered them directly to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from Margaret Sherry's Christmas Cuties stamp set directly onto the card base at the bottom left corner using Versamark ink and then heat embossed it using Ranger detail white embossing powder. I stamped some snowflakes from the WPlus9 Winter Woodland stamp set onto the top right corner and heat embossed that as well. I added white dashed lines around the outer edges of the card and along the patterned paper for some additional interest. To finish off my card I stamped the adorable snowman and Christmas tree from the Crafter's Companion Little Snowmen stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I popped them up in the right lower corner. I love how adorably cute this card turned out! Thank you for stopping by my blog today and, if you liked my card, be sure and leave a comment. I read and appreciate them all!
