Hello, and welcome to the July installment of Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb! Unfortunately we are a bit late with this month's entry but better late than never, yes? We decided to create a fun summer themed card and I have been dying to play with this fun stamp set. My dear friend Becky Ledbetter gets the monthly kits from Unity Stamp Company and is kind enough to let me borrow them and play to my heart's content. So, this month I am borrowing the Unexpected Places kit from February. I love the fun little coffee cups and the sentiment that comes with it! To create my card I started with a white card base and layered on a nice, light woodgrain patterned paper from the Jen Hadfield DIY Home 6x6 paper pad on top. I cut a few slivers of a diagonal striped paper from the same paper pad and adhered them onto a strip of white cardstock. I then stamped the coffee cup image and the sentiment using Versafine onyx black ink. I then stamped the cups individually onto more of the same patterned papers using Memento tuxedo black ink and did some paper piecing on each of the cups. I colored the lids for some additional interest and dimension and popped each cup up using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. Love how cute this card turned out!
As for my coffee beverage this month, I opted for a small McCafe mocha frappe because it's hot here and I wanted something cool and frothy! Now be sure to pop on over to Deb's blog and leave some love for her in the way of a comment! Have a good day and thank you for visiting my blog!
