Today's card was created for the latest Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb collaboration. We have another guest designer joining us this month, my friend Sybrina K. She is not only a fantastically crafty lady but she is also a donates her time to the great charitable cause, Send A Smile 4 Kids, which collects and donates hand crafted cards for children in hospitals. As many of you know my granddaughter Journey spent 2 1/2 weeks in the NICU at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis right after she was born, so this cause is close to my heart. In honor of our special guest Sybrina we decided to create a children's card we could all donate to the cause!
To create my card I started with a white card base. I then die cut a piece of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I taped the edges of the panel down using some plain low tack painter's tape and inked the panel using Tim Holtz distress inks in pumice stone for the ground and salty ocean for the sky. To add a bit of distressed interest to the panel I spritzed it with my Mini-Mister water bottle. I then stamped the adorable images from the Neat & Tangled Prehistoric stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored the images using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the images and mounted them onto my panel using some 3M foam tape. I then mounted the entire panel onto the card using the same foam tape for a nice 3 dimensional look.
As for my coffee choice I opted for a nice Dunkin Donuts iced skim milk mocha coffee...yummy! Thank you for visiting my blog. Be sure to pop over to Deb and Sybrina's blogs and show them some blog love by leaving a comment!

Celeste, this is so much FUN.
Celeste, This card is absolutely adorable! (The bad news is that it's nudging me to purchase that cute little set. LOL) Thanks so much to you and Deb for the invitation to join you this month. It's been lots of fun. And, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the cards you send for Nationwide Children's. Your support means the world to the kids, their families, and the hospital staff. :)
CUTENESS galore happening here!!
OMGosh, that it TOO CUTE, Celeste! I LOVE the Flintstones-like attire and bright colors!
