My second card today was created for the Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge. I started by layering some pretty patterned papers from the American Crafts Welcome Spring 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I then stamped the adorable Mermaid 1 stamp from Lily Of The Valley onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I die cut the image using a Spellbinders oval die to create a nice focal panel. I die cut a scalloped edge in white to go around the oval panel. I colored the adorable little mermaid in colors that coordinated with the patterned papers I used and added some shimmer and shine by adding both Sakura clear gelly roll pen and Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard to the seahorse, the seashells on her head, the bubbles, as well as her wings. The photo doesn't do it justice so you will just have to take my word for it...this card has some pretty shimmer! I popped the oval panel up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Fintastic Friends and cut it down to a small strip, which I adhered directly onto the card. I added some more Sakura gelly roll glitter pen to the sentiment for more shimmer and shine. I love how adorably this card turned out. Thank you for visiting my blog today!
