Be Merry

I can't believe I'm creating a Christmas card in late June when it is literally 93 degrees outside in the shade, but here we are! LOL.  I recently picked up the adorable Woodware Craft Collection Gnome Christmas Cup stamp set on an online destash sale and could not wait to ink him up! I stamped the image onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored it using alcohol markers, and fussy cut the image out. Using dark green cardstock I die cut a layering panel using Unity Stamp Company postage stamp nesting dies. Then I embossed a smaller panel of red cardstock using SSS Dancing Starlets embossing folder. I adhered both panels to my white A2 cardbase. I popped the gnome image up off of the card using thin foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and cut it down unto a small panel. I adhered that to the bottom right of the card. I finished off the card by adding some black sketchy lines around the sentiment, white gel pen details and white blizzard Nuvo drops to the image. I added a few black gems to each corner using liquid glue for a final touch on this adorable Christmas card. Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you and yours are staying cool this summer.

With Sympathy-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

This month Debra and I have our friend Michael Trent joining us for the fun, and we are playing with stencils. I have to admit I have tons and don't really reach for them very often. My stenciling on this card is minimal but impactful. I die cut a small circle focal panel using a stitched circle die from MFT and stenciled one of the dotted designs from Paper Rose Designs Random Spots stencil and carved pumpkin distress ink. I then embossed a panel of white cardstock using Unity Stamp Company's Soft Stitched Lattice embossing folder. I popped that and the circle panel up off of the card using thin foam tape. I stamped and colored one of the floral images from Penny Black's Nature's Jewels stamp set. I fussy cut it out and popped it up on the stenciled focal panel. I stamped and die cut the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's CZ Design Clean Everyday stamp and die set. I popped the sentiment up with foam tape as well. I finished this card up with some clear rhinestones from Recollections and some star dust Stickles at the centers of the flowers.

My coffee this month is a wonderful Smore's latte that I got as a freebie at my local Scooters. It was very tasty, and who doesn't like free, right? Now, be sure to pop on over to Deb and Michael's blogs and see what they've stenciled up this month!

The Best Day Evah-Send A Smile 4 Kids

This month at Send A Smile 4 Kids we are celebrating all things summer. Nothing says summer more than a big, bright sun, right? I started by layering some bright red cardstock onto the card base. Then the patterned paper base and the fishtail banner where all created using patterned papers from Simple Stories 6x8 Sunkissed paper pad. I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Slang Gang stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. I then die cut the sun using a stitched circle die and a pinking edged circle die and layered them together. I drew a smile on the sun using a black marker and added the sunglasses Paper Smooches Incognito stamp and die set. I finished off this adorable card by adding star dust Stickles to the frames of the glasses, white gel pen detail, and some black sparkling gems scattered around the sentiment and the card. Thank you for stopping by today to check out my card. Be sure to hop on over the Send A Smile 4 Kids blog and see all of the fun inspiration the design team has created!
