Properly Caffeinated

Today's card was created for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop. To create my card I started by layering a strip of some pretty springtime plaid patterned paper from Chickannidy Crafts Date Night 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I then added a small strip of silver glitter washi tape from the American Crafts Make It Happen washi tape pack just to the inside of the strip for some additional interest. I stamped the coffee mug from Skipping Stones Designs onto the card base and did some fun paper piecing from the same paper pad. I then stamped the coffee beans from the Fiskars Latte Love next to the mug and colored them in using Copic markers. I also added some shading and depth to the mug using my Copics. I die cut a heart out of the same patterned paper using a cute little Paper Smooches heart die and popped it up off of the mug using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I added a bit of shimmer to the heart by covering it with some Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard. To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment from Latina Crafter's Need Caffeine mini stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink, added some drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in dark walnut, and rounded the outer corners of the card using my We R Memory Keepers corner chomper.
