Today's card was created for the AAA Christmas Card Challenge. I recently picked up a few 6x6 Christmas paper packs on sale from Echo Park. I created this card from one of those packs. I used Carta Bella's Christmas In The City paper pad by using a cut-apart from the pack and the additional patterned paper strip from the bottom of the page. I started by embossing a plain sheet of white cardstock using a Cuttlebug by ProvoCraft Christmas embossing folder and adhered that to my card base. Using one of the pages from the paper pack I cut down a decorate strip for the bottom of the card and the focal panel. I added a sliver of real red cardstock to break up the patterned paper strip and the embossed panel. I die cut the framed postage edge rectangle panel using red cardstock and Unity Stamp Company's postage edge nesting dies. I stamped the greeting from Simon Says Stamp's Holiday Hellos mini stamp set using Versamark ink and Ranger gold embossing powder. Once embossed I simply popped the panel up off of the card using thin foam tape. I love the clean simplicity of this card! I even created a second card using the same paper pack. This one had a bit of a fun retro vibe!Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
