I Donut Know What I'd Do Without You!

Today I am guest designing for the Color Throwdown challenge. I started with a cream A2 card base. Using a piece of cream cardstock and Stampin' UP's crumb cardstock, I stenciled the coffee mugs using the Newton's Nook Mugs Stencil. I die cut a banner using light kraft cardstock and a nesting banner die from Unity Stamp Company. I adhered that to the stenciled panel, and cut the whole thing down using a stacking, stitched rectangle die from Paper Rose. I stamped the sentiment onto the banner using a sentiment stamp from Close To My Heart's Treats Of Friendship Occasions and Memento cocoa brown ink. I adhered that panel onto a piece of royal blue cardstock, popped it up with some foam tape and adhered that to the card.  I stamped the coffee cup and donut from Close To My Heart's Pumpkin Treats stamp set and Copic-friendly ink. I colored the images using my alcohol markers and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I popped those up off of the card using more foam tape and added some white gel pen detail and some fun blue enamel dots from Recollections for some additional interest. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I would love it if you played along with us this week for our color challenge!

Cheers-Coffee And Cards With Celeste and Deb

Happy February! Hopefully you weren't too horribly hit with the winter storm that hit most of the Midwest this week. Since Valentine's Day is in two weeks Deb and I decided to create cards with hearts on them. To create my card I started by die cutting a piece of crumbcake cardstock from Stampin' UP using the Close To My Heart heart die plate. Then using the beautiful Echo Park Hello Valentine 6x6 paper pad I die cut all of the coordinating hearts and inserted them onto the card using a glue pen. I then stamped and die cut the coffee from Close To My Heart's Pumpkin Treats stamp and die set and colored it using my Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto white cardstock and then die cut it using a stitched edge banner die that I had in my stash. I popped the coffee and the sentiment up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I added glossy accents to the lid and the heart on the coffee for a finishing touch.
For my coffee this month I opted for an creme brulee iced latte from our newest Scooter's Coffee town. They've been shamelessly mailing coupons to my house and I can't pass up a deal...LOL. Now be sure to head on over to Deb's blog and see what she created this month!

It's Pumpkin Spice Season

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today's card was created for the latest Global Design Project card challenge. I recently won the Close To My Heart Pumpkin Treats stamp and thin cuts combo during a recent coffee blog hop and I just couldn't wait to use this fun set! So, it seemed fitting to use it for this current challenge. I started by stamping the mug and pumpkin pie onto some Copic-friendly white card stock using Memento tuxedo black ink and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then layered some gorgeous coffee themed patterned paper from the Echo Park Coffee 6x6 paper pad onto some navy cardstock. I adhered that panel directly onto my white A2 card base. I cut another strip of patterned paper from the same paper pad, matted it onto more navy cardstock and adhered that to the left of the card panel. I die cut an oval from the navy cardstock using a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things and then cut a smaller oval from white cardstock using a Spellbinders oval die. I cut another half oval using more of the patterned paper from the paper pad and the Spellbinders die and adhered it to the smaller white oval to create a faux tablecloth for my images. Using a foam blending brush and some distress ink I added a little color to the focal panel. I then stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Pumpkin Spice Sentiments stamp set onto the focal panel using Gina K Designs black ink. I added the oval focal panel directly onto the card. I adhered the mug directly to the panel and popped the pumpkin pie image up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. For a finishing touch I added some white jelly roll highlights to the mug and the pie. You just can't go wrong with this cute stamp set!
