Happy Birthday

 

Today's card was created for both the Color Throwdown, Freshly Made Sketches, and Flower card challenges. I started by layering some butter yellow cardstock from my stash onto my white A2 cardbase. I then die cut a smaller panel using white cardstock and embossed it using a Spellbinders plaid embossing folder. I matted that panel with some black cardstock from my stash and adhered that to my card base. I stamped the floral image, butterfly, and sentiment from Simon Say's Stamps Butterfly Blossoms, colored them using the coordinating stencils and inks from Altenew, and then die cut them out using the dies. I popped the sentiment, butterfly, and image up with thin foam tape and arranged it onto my card following the sketch. I finished the card off with some diamond confetti from Pink & Main scattered around the card and some Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard on the florals and butterfly from some additional sparkle and shine. Just A Note To Say

 

Today's card was created for both the Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown card challenges. I stamped the butterfly image from Skipping Stones Designs Heartsong 1 stamp set onto white cardstock and colored them with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto black cardstock using embossing ink and heat embossed it using Ranger's white embossing powder. Using an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts, I created a textured background that I matted with black cardstock. I arranged the sentiment and butterflies onto the panel using thin foam tape. I finished my card off by adding clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the panel and clear rhinestones from Recollections to the bodies of the butterflies. Fall For Autumn Leaves

 

My card today was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I started by embossing a panel of kraft cardstock using the Lisa Horton Knitted embossing folder and mounted the panel directly onto my white A2 card base. I die cut a white panel using a stitched scallop edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs, and stamped the focal image from Newton's Nook Designs Falling For You stamp set. I popped that panel up off of the card using thin foam tape. I stamped the pumpkin image twice and several of the leaves. I colored them using my alcohol markers and then adhered them to the panel. Thinking Of You

 

Hello, and happy Sunday! My card today was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I created my card by layering a square panel of kraft cardstock onto my ivory A2 card base. I then cut a small square panel using more ivory cardstock and embossed it using a Spellbinders embossing folder. I adhered it to the kraft panel and added some fun kraft colored twine almost to the top. I die cut 3 maple leaves using the stitched detail leaf dies from Jillian Vance, one in terra cotta and the other two in mustard. I popped them up off of the focal panel using foam squares. I stamped the sentiment from Stampabilities Card Phrases stamp set using Gina K ink in warm cocoa below the focal panel. I finished this card off with some pretty mustard colored gems from Honey Bee Stamps Harvest Festival gem sticker pack. I love how clean and simple this card turned out. Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I started by die cutting a panel of light tan cardstock using a postage edge nesting die from Waffle Flower. I stamped the background pattern using a foliage stamp from Hero Arts Grateful Pumpkins stamp set and Sahara Sand ink from Stampin' UP. I adhered that directly to my A2 card base. I then stamped the pumpkins and leaves from the same stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them with my alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images. I stamped the sentiment onto a small white strip of pattered paper. I popped all of the pumpkins and the sentiment up with thin foam tape onto the front of my card and added some clear sparkling gems around the focal images. I have never created a pink pumpkin before by I think I love this color combination and will have to use this again!

Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I started by layering some light purple cardstock from my stash onto my white A2 card base. I then cut down a panel of white cardstock and stamped the background images from the Craft Stash Wild Meadows stamp set using Stampin' UP's tempting turquoise and Versafine onyx black inks. I stamped the main floral image from the same stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink and Copic-friendly white cardstock. I colored the image using the colors in the challenge, fussy cut it out, and mounted it onto a vellum oval. I popped the vellum panel up off of the card using thin foam tape, added a sentiment from the same stamp set, and a few pretty clear rhinestone gems from Recollections to finish off this card. Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. To create my card, I started by embossing the front panel of my A2 card base by using a Spellbinders embossing folder. I wish it showed up better in my photo because it turned out so pretty. I die cut an oval using kraft cardstock from my stash and stamped the Unity Stamp Company's Small Details background stamp onto it using Stampin' UP's Sahara Sand ink. I die cut the florals from Memory Box's Happy Daisy Stems die set, colored the images with my Copic markers, and adhered them to the oval. I die cut the Thinking Of You sentiment from Unity Stamp Company and adhered it on top of the floral arrangement. I popped the oval panel up off of the card using some thin foam tape and finished the card off with some white gel pen detail on the flowers and some pretty clear rhinestones from Recollections. Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I created this card by stamping the My Favorite Things Roses All Over background stamp onto some white cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's white detail embossing powder. I water colored the panel using Tim Holtz distress inks. I die cut two white cardstock panels using a stitched sloping edge die from Paper Smooches and created an upper and lower panel to flank the watercolor paper. I stamped the sentiment from Verve Stamps Because Of You stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink and flanked the panels with some clear rhinestones from Recollections. Happy Friday! Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I have to say that clean and simple have never been my style when it comes to cardmaking. It's not that I don't love it when I see it. I've never been comfortable with that creative style. But I do have to say that I love this card. I started with a white card panel that I stamped the floral images from CTMH's Thoughts Of You stamp set using Gina K Designs basic black ink. I stamped the coordinating petal stamp using tempting turquoise, tangerine tango, and perfect plum inks from Stampin' UP. I filled in the stems with a C1 Copic marker for a little bit of contrast. I die cut a Hello sentiment using Stampin' UP black cardstock and adhered it to the focal panel. I die cut the panel using a stacking stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things and popped it up off of the card using foam tape. I finished the card off by adding a bit of clear Wink of Stella shimmer pen to the petals. Unfortunately, my camera didn't do a good job picking that up on screen. I Donut Know What I'd Do Without You!

 

Today I am guest designing for the Color Throwdown challenge. I started with a cream A2 card base. Using a piece of cream cardstock and Stampin' UP's crumb cardstock, I stenciled the coffee mugs using the Newton's Nook Mugs Stencil. I die cut a banner using light kraft cardstock and a nesting banner die from Unity Stamp Company. I adhered that to the stenciled panel, and cut the whole thing down using a stacking, stitched rectangle die from Paper Rose. I stamped the sentiment onto the banner using a sentiment stamp from Close To My Heart's Treats Of Friendship Occasions and Memento cocoa brown ink. I adhered that panel onto a piece of royal blue cardstock, popped it up with some foam tape and adhered that to the card.  I stamped the coffee cup and donut from Close To My Heart's Pumpkin Treats stamp set and Copic-friendly ink. I colored the images using my alcohol markers and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I popped those up off of the card using more foam tape and added some white gel pen detail and some fun blue enamel dots from Recollections for some additional interest. It's Your Special Day

Hello, and happy Friday! This was a very long week, so it felt good to come home and relax with some crafting. I created my card for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I created my card by embossing a panel of white cardstock using a Spellbinders starburst embossing folder. I adhered that panel down to my A2 white card base. Using one of the Spellbinders stacking deckled rectangles dies, I die cut a panel and stamped the leaves from Stampin' UP's Kinda Eclectic using Stampin' UP's old olive ink. I stamped the leaves again onto a separate scrap of white cardstock and fussy cut the image out. I stamped the sentiment from a Momenta birthday wooden block collection at the bottom of the panel using Versafine onyx black ink. I then stamped the butterfly from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and the flower from Stampin' UP's Petite Petals stamp set onto scrap cardstock using delightful daffodil ink from Stampin' UP. I fussy cut the images out and popped them all up off of the panel using Stampin' UP mini foam dimensionals. I added clear rhinestones from The Paper Studio to the butterfly, the flower, and scattered a few more around the focal panel. I framed the whole panel using some aqua blue cardstock from Hobby Lobby and popped the panel up off of the card using thin foam tape. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Birthday Wishes

 

Hello, and happy Friday! Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I started by layering some light pink and medium brown cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white A2 card base. Using a shaped nesting die from Spellbinders, I cut down some pink striped patterned paper from Echo Park's Flower Market 6x6 paper pad and attached it to a white panel I created using the same shaped die. I added some brown grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts to bridge the gap between the papers. I stamped the sentiment in charcoal brown ink from Gina K Designs using a wooden block stamp from a Momenta birthday set. I die cut the flower and leaves using more patterned paper from the Echo Park paper pad, brown cardstock, and Little B's Bouquet floral die set. I popped the focal panel up off of the card using foam tape and added some white gel pen details to the florals and the stripes. I added some brown dashed lines around the top of the focal panel to add a bit more visual interest. This card is a throwback to my earlier cardmaking style. Very simple, but I love it. Praying For You

 

I don't have to send very many sympathy cards, but had to this week, unfortunately. I started by doing some light water-coloring onto some Strathmore smooth watercolor paper using Gina K inks in sweet mango and fresh asparagus. I dried the ink and then stamped the tree and sentiment from Stampin' UP's Thoughts & Prayers stamp set onto the panel using versfine onyx black ink and heat setting them with Zing clear embossing powder. I cut the panel down using a stitched stacking rectangle die from Paper Rose, and matted it onto some plain black cardstock. I adhered the panel to my A2 sized card base and added a few black gems in the corners for a finishing touch. I will be submitting this card in this week's Color Throwdown card challenge. You Make Me Happy

Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. To create my card, I die cut a white card panel using a scalloped edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and popped it up off my kraft A2 card base using some low-profile foam tape. I then die cut a kraft panel using a stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the subtle background using Stampin' UP's crumb cake ink and Unity Stamp Company's Faithful Letter red rubber background stamp. I then stamped the poppies from Altenew's Painted Poppy stamp set directly onto the kraft panel. I stamped the Happy sentiment from the same stamp set directly onto the panel using Versafine onyx black ink. On separate white cardstock I stamped the leaf using Altenew's moss green ink and the poppy's in Gina K Designs red hot ink. I fussy cut the poppy's and the leaf out and popped them up off of the card using more foam tape. I stamped the additional sentiment onto black cardstock using Versamark clear ink and heat embossed it using Ranger's detail white embossing powder. I cut the sentiment down into little strips and adhered them around the word happy. To finish off my card I die cut a few butterflies in more black cardstock using Stampin' UP's Beautiful Wings embosslit. I adhered those around the card, and added some white gel pen details. I love how this turned out!

 

Hello Sweet Friend

It's been entirely too cold here in Southeast Missouri to get out and do anything productive in single digit temps. So, I decided to make cards this afternoon. I created this card by die cutting a scalloped edge stitched rectangle panel using Gina Marie Designs dies and white cardstock. I layered a piece of light blue gingham from Echo Park's Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad that I die cut with a stitched rectangle die from MFT. I die cut some fish tail banners from solid pink cardstock from the same Echo Park collection using Unity Stamp's Scallops & Banners die set. I mounted them on plain white cardstock and cut them out leaving a small border. I stamped the sentiment and the adorable little bird from Technique Tuesday's Hello Chickadee stamp set on both banners. I stamped an extra bird onto plain white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it using my Copic markers. Using my Crop-a-dile, I punched some small holes at the top of the banners. I popped them up off of the card using 3M foam tape and ran some white baker's twine from Stampin' UP through the holes and adhered them directly behind the focal panel. To finish of this sweet card I added a bow with more of the white twine and a few blush sequins around the banners. I will be linking this up at the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. Happiness Is A Warm Cup Of Coffee

 

Hello, and Happy New Year! Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. To create my card I started by die cutting a piece of dark olive cardstock using Gina Marie Designs nesting scalloped rectangle dies. I adhered that directly onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut a piece of watercolor paper using Paper Rose nesting stitched rectangle dies. I stamped the image from Unity Stamp Company's Pure And Simple stamp set using Versafine ink. I stamped the happiness sentiment from the same stamp set right below it. Using Papertrey Ink's Simple Alphabet, I stamped the rest of the sentiment. Using Unity Stamp Company's Scallops & Banners die set I die but a few fishtail banners using more of the olive cardstock and a piece of patterned paper from Authentique's Remembrance 6x6 paper pad. Using Tim Holtz distress inks and some watercolor brushes I picked up from Hobby Lobby, I water colored the image to match the colors of the card challenge. Gnome Happy Birthday

 

Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I created this card by stamping and coloring the gnome from Inkadinkado's Garden Gnome stamp set onto white alcohol marker-friendly cardstock. I colored him with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out. I then stategically stamped the mushrooms from the stamp set onto a cream cardstock panel and colored them to match the gnome. I diecut a few leaves in the same dark peach cardstock using an etched leaf die from Jillian Vance Designs. I wrapped some light peach jute twine from American Crafts onto the top of the focal panel and adhered the leaves using a glue dot. I created a hillside using some light blue cardstock from Hobby Lobby and a Paper Smooches stiched hillside die. I adhered that to the bottom of the focal panel under the mushrooms. I adhered my little gnome down onto the panel using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter's The Big The Bold & The Happy stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. I finished this adorable little gnome card up by added some gems from Honey Bee Stamps Harvest Fesitval crystal gem sticker mix and some white gel details.

Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I layered some rust-colored cardstock that I had my stash onto my A2 white card base. I then stamped, colored, and fussy cut the adorable gnome, butterfly, and mushroom from the Inkadinkado Garden Gnome stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock. I created a focal panel using white cardstock, pink ink from Gina K Designs, and the mini cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. I attached a piece of green cardstock from my stash with snail adhesive, and die cut the panel using a stitched stacking rectangle die from Paper Rose. I stamped the sentiment from the Momenta Birthday wooden block stamp set at the bottom of the panel. I popped the panel up off of the card for a little dimension. Happy Halloween

Hello, happy Thursday! I recently won the Picket Fence Studios Triple Trouble stamp and die set and could not resist using it for this challenge. I created this card by stamping the pumpkins, the witch hat, and the sentiment onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, coloring them with alcohol markers, and die cutting the images with the coordinating dies. I cut a frame using Paper Roses stitched stacking rectangle dies and pretty patterned paper from Recollections Midnight Magic Halloween 6x6 paper pad. I popped the frame up using foam tape. I traced along the frame onto the card base, and inked the interior with villenous potion and wilted violet distress inks from Tim Holtz. I sprized the panel with some water for a little distressed interest, and then stamped the bats from the stamp set onto the background. I popped the images and the sentiment up with foam tape and then adhered them to the frame. I mounted the whole thing to my card base. Nutty For You

 

 

Hello, and happy end of September! Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. I thought the inspiration photo was so perfect being that we are on the cusp of Autumn and all things fall! I started by stamping the acorns from Paper Smooches Falling For You stamp set onto plain kraft cardstock and inking them up with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink. I stamped the leaves separately onto white cardstock and inked them with Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink. I fussy cut the images out and adhered the leaves with both liquid glue and foam dimensionals to give them a bit of interest. I created a card base out of linen textured kraft creamy brown cardstock and adhered a panel of gorgeous fall plaid patterned paper from Design Group that I picked up last year at Target in the dollar bin and mounted that onto some early espresso cardstock that I had border cut using a pretty border die from My Favorite Things. I adhered my focal panel onto my card base, attached the acorns using foam dimensionals, added some cream colored twine to the tops of them, and finished the card off with some white gel pen highlights and gorgeous coppery sequins from The Ton.
