Flip Flop's-June W2CB

Hello and welcome to the June Words 2 Craft By card challenge. June 1st was National Go Barefoot Day so in honor of that we chose an appropriate quote. "My own prescription for health is less paperwork and more running barefoot through the grass." Leslie Grimutter. I personally don't go barefoot anywhere unless it's to the beach but I do love to wear flip flops as often as possible in the summer and that's good enough for me. So, for my card I thought I would do my version of barefoot and create a flip flop card. To create my card I started with a base of Stampin' UP's crumb cake cut down to an A2 standard card. I then die cut a piece of white cardstock using a Gina Marie Designs stitched rectangle die. Using the elements from the Fresh Squeezed Stamps Beachy Keen stamp set I stamped the sand onto the die cut panel using Stampin' UP's sahara sand to create a beach look. I then stamped the flip flops and sentiment from the same stamp set onto the panel using Versafine onyx black ink. I stamped the flip flips again onto some pretty patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Early Bird 6x6 paper pad and fussy cut them out. I went around the outer edges of each flip flop with my dual tip Memento black marker for a clean look and adhered them to the card panel using a Zig two way glue pen. To finish off my card I popped the focal panel up off of the card using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby and added some clear mini rhinestones from Recollections to each side of the sentiment and to each of the flip flops to give them a little bling!
