Hello Spring Chicken

 

Today's card was created for the latest AAA Birthday card challenge. I created this card by stamping the adorable chicken from Art Impressions Spring Chicken Stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored the image using my alcohol markers and cut the image out using a stacking Spellbinders circle die. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and cut that into a banner. I rounded the edges by using a smaller circle die and just cut the bottom portion of the banner. I layered pretty patterned papers from Simple Stories Summer Lovin' 6x8 paper pad onto some light blue cardstock from my stash. I adhered the sentiment banner and the focal panel directly to the card base and finished the card off with some faux black dashed lines. 

Queen For The Day

 

Today's card was created for the latest AAA Birthday card challenge. My daughter's birthday is coming up next month and this card is perfect for her. This image looks just like her, including the messy bun. I started by stamping the Unity Stamp Company's Queen Girl onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored it with my alcohol markers, and fussy cut the image out. Using some terra cotta cardstock from my stash, I die cut a panel using a scalloped edge die from Gina Marie Designs and layered it onto a white card base. I die cut two panels using a Paper Rose stitched edge rectangle stacking dies and patterned paper from Pebbles Sunny Side 6x6 paper pad. I stacked the panels together and adhered them to the scalloped edge panel. I popped the main image up using foam tape. I die cut a tag topper using more of the same patterned paper and a die from Papertrey Ink and adhered that onto the focal panel using more foam tape. I finished off the card by adding an orange button and some white twine to the tag topper, some glittery heart stickers from Heidi Swapp, and some Crystal Stickles to the crown and balloons on the focal image.  My adorable little fairy card was created for the latest AAA Birthday card challenge. I started by layering some pretty patterned papers from We R Memory Keepers Anthologie 6x6 paper pad onto my card. I stamped the fairy from MFT's Pure Innocence Fairy Girl stamp set onto white alcohol marker-friendly cardstock and colored it with my Copics. Using a Pink & Main's nesting rectangle die, I die cut the focal panel and the layering piece. I adhered them to the card. I paper pieced the dress from the same patterned paper I used for my background panel, fussy cut it, and adhered it directly onto the focal image. I stamped the image from the same stamp set and die cut it using a pierced edge nesting circle die from MFT and a decorative edge scalloped circle die from Papertrey Ink. I adhered them together and adhered it to the card next to the focal panel. To finish off my card, I added some clear crystal drops from Simon Says Stamp, and some pretty Nuvo Crystal Drops in white blizzard to the mushroom, the fairy wings, the wand, and her dress. Happy Birthday-AAA Birthday Guest Designer

 

Today I am guest designing for the latest AAA Birthday card challenge. I was at my local book store this past weekend and picked up the latest issue of Simply Cards & Papercrafts. The publication included a floral stamp set from Craftworld called Wild Meadows and some lovely patterned paper. I stamped the gorgeous flowers onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored the images using my alcohol markers, and fussy cut around the edges leaving a small white border. I layered a strip of the pink polka patterned paper to the far left of my white A2 card base leaving a small border around the edge. Using some nesting circle dies from Gina K Designs I cut a circular frame out of basic black cardstock and adhered it to the card panel. I stamped the birthday sentiment from the same Craftworld stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink and cut it down into a small sentiment strip. Using foam tape, I popped my floral sentiment up in the center of the circle frame, adhered the sentiment on top with liquid glue, and adhered some pretty iridescent sequins around the focal image to finish up this pretty floral card. Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday! Today's card was created for AAA Birthday card challenge. This month's challenge is to create a shaker card. I thought it would be fun to create a fun underwater scene using fish and an adorable mermaid. I started by inking an ombre background panel using Tim Holtz distress inks an Altenew's Scales Debossing cover die. I die cut a large circle in the middle of the panel using a stacking circle die from Spellbinders. I inked another panel to go behind the circle. I popped the main panel up using foam tape and added some clear, marshmallow, and turquoise sequins from The Ton in the shaker panel and adhered it to the card. I then stamped the beautiful mermaid image from Lily of the Valley's Mermaid 1 stamp set and inked her up using my Copic markers. I stamped a few fish and some seaweed from Lawn Fawn's Fintastic Friends and colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the mermaid and die cut the fish and seaweed images using coordinating dies and adhered them all to the card to create my underwater scene. I created my sentiment by die cutting the Birthday Wishes die set using white cardstock and colored them using my Copics to create an ombre look that matched the card. I attached them to the shadow piece and adhered them to the card. I finished off this card by added some pretty glitter glue using Nuvo crystal glitter drops and some white gel pen for additional details on the mermaid. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
