Coffee-Coffee And Cards By Celeste And Deb

Hello and happy Sunday! For our monthly collaboration Debra Davison and I decided to create coffee themed cards since the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop started yesterday. Perfect timing, right? To create my card I started by stamping the coffee image from the Unity Stamp Company's Coffee Side By Side stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the images using my alcohol markers and then cut the panel down using some fun angles. I then created a border using some textured cardstock from the Mat Stacks paper pad by DieCuts With A View. Using a piece of coordinating patterned paper from the same paper pad I adhered it all down to my A2 sized card and rounded the bottom corners using my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. To finish my card off I added some gorgeous mocha colored sequins in a 6mm size from The Ton. So simple, but so pretty! 

It has finally warmed up a bit here in Southeast Missouri and I mowed my lawn this afternoon and was hot after my shower. So, my coffee choice today is a nice homemade latte using some coconut crème liquid creamer, ice, almond milk, and my standard dark roast homebrewed coffee. It definitely hit the spot! Hello Spring Chicken

Today's card was created for the latest The Paper Players card challenge. To create my card I started by layering the pretty blue bandana patterned paper from the American Crafts Heartland Farm 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut an oval focal panel using some white cardstock that I inked with some Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink to create a sky and a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things. I then stamped the fence from the Kaisercraft Cock A Doodle Do stamp set, colored it using my alcohol markers, and fussy cut it out. I adhered it to the panel and then layered a grassy piece on top using some green cardstock from Hobby Lobby that I die cut with a Lawn Fawn die. I stamped the clouds from the Kaisercraft stamp set and fussy cut those out too. I stamped the sentiment from the Art Impressions Spring Chicken stamp set and then adhered the clouds onto the panel, one directly to the panel and the other with foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. To finish off my card I stamped the chicken from the same Art Impressions stamp set, colored her in using my alcohol markers, fussy cut her, and popped her up off of the card. A few dark blue gems from Hobby Lobby in each corner finished this card off nicely! Hope you like it and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Heartfelt Thanks-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to the April collaboration of Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb! In light of our current COVID-19 situation Deb and I, who both work in healthcare, decided we would pay tribute to those on the front lines of this pandemic. I think all essential workers should be praised and honored for the role they have in this current situation but we know that healthcare workers are bearing a lot of responsibility and risk exposure and we wanted to say thanks. To create my card I started by layering some dark grey cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my A2 white card base. Using the Basically Bricks stencil from Wendy Vecchi and some Memento London Fog ink and a Tim Holtz blending tool I stenciled the background and die cut it using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I downloaded and printed the Birdie Brown Call The Shots and the Super Hero in Scrubs images from My Favorite Things and colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the images and adhered them onto my focal panel. I added a bit of grey marker under them to ground them so they didn't look like they were just floating in space. I then printed the sentiment from the Super Hero In Scrubs set and added it to the panel using some more grey cardstock for some additional interest. To finish off my card I added some white gel pen highlights to the images. I think it turned out pretty cute. 

It was pretty warm here this afternoon after my fun so I opted for a white chocolate mocha iced coffee that I made at home using some flavored creamer and my usual Seattle's Best 6th Avenue Bistro dark roast coffee. Joy To The World

Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is surviving the COVID-19 mania and staying safe. I work in healthcare so I'm considered an essential worker but the doctor I work for has taken the rest of the week off. That left me with a day or two to get creative. Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the images from the Close To My Heart Holiday Joy stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and die cut it into a pretty scalloped edge panel using a Gina Marie Designs scalloped rectangle die. I colored the images using my alcohol markers in traditional Christmas colors. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut the scroll out and mounted it onto the panel using some 3M foam tape. To finish my card I simply mounted the panel onto some deep red cardstock from Stampin' UP. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave a comment and be safe out there!

You're So Smart

Hello and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is well and staying safe amidst our national COVID-19 crisis. Today's card was created for the latest Cardz 4 Galz and Watercooler Wednesday card challenges. I was in need of a graduation card so I thought it would be fun to create a card using this adorable image and sentiment from the Unity Stamp Company's Lil' Smartie Pants stamp set. I stamped the image and sentiment out onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it to match the patterned paper I planned to use. I die cut it into a circle using a Little B circle die set. I cut down some Stampin' UP's crumb cake cardstock into an A2 card base and adhered some pretty patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Early Bird Collection 6x6 paper pad directly on top. I cut the die cut panel down to be a semi circle and adhered it directly to the card panel. To finish off my card I added a few blue sequins from The Ton. A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello and happy Sunday! Hope everyone is safely surviving our COVID-19 situation. My card today was created for the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie, Time Out Challenges, and The Paper Players challenges. To create my card I started by adhering some beautiful spring themed patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers Simply Spring 6x6 paper pad directly onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut another piece of coordinating patterned paper from the same paper pad using a wonky edge stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and popped it up off of the card using some fun foam I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I cut a few strips of the base patterned paper and ran that through the my Cuttlebug with the same stitched die and adhered it to the paper. I stamped the sweet little birds from the Technique Tuesdays Chickadees stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly paper and colored them using my alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set above the birds and die cut the whole thing into an oval panel using a pierced edge die from My Favorite Things. I added some dashed lines around the outer edge using my dual tip Memento tuxedo black marker and adhered it to my card. To finish my card I added some sweet pastel 6mm and some clear 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the panel. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you like my card!

Coffee, When Your Brain Needs A Hug-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and happy Spring! Welcome to the March Coffee and Cards Collaboration between myself and my friend Debra Davison. Deb chose this beautiful and serene inspiration photo for our theme this month. We both agreed that, with all of the chaos going on around us right now, that looked like a pretty happy place to be. We both work in health care so self-quarantining is not really an option for either of us but it's nice to close your eyes and image quiet, happy places like this! I decided to use the colors in the photo for my card. So, I started by layering some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 card base. I then layered on some patterned paper from the Studio Calico Atlantic 6x6 paper pad on top. I cut a strip of the early espresso cardstock and layered it on top at a diagonal angle adding a small fishtail banner with more patterned paper from the same paper pad and a stamped sentiment from the Altenew Coffee Love stamp set below it. I stamped the coffee pot, stacked cups, and the sentiment from the same stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored them with my alcohol markers, and die cut it into a circle panel using a pierced edge die from My Favorite Things. I popped that focal panel up off of the card using some foam squares I had in my stash and finished the card off with a few espresso metallic 6mm sequins from The Ton.  

For my coffee this month I opted for a cup of chocolate peanut butter cup gourmet coffee that I recently picked up at my local TJ Maxx. And yes, it's as tasty as it sounds! Nautical Celebrate

My second card today was created for the latest Fusion Card Challenge. To create my card I started by adhering some textured navy cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white A2 card base and then layered some fun nautical patterned paper from Pink & Main's Beach Bum 6x6 paper pad on top. I added a sliver of the navy cardstock between the two patterned papers to break up the busyness of the papers. I then stamped the boat from Unity Stamp Company's Celebrate stamp set onto some white cardstock using Gina K Design navy ink and fussy cut it out. I stamped the image again and cut the star out and adhered it directly onto the image. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Gina K Design navy and cranberry red inks. I popped the boat image up off of the panel using foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives and adhered it directly above the sentiment. I matted the panel using more of the same navy cardstock and adhered it directly to the card panel following the featured sketch. I love how it turned out. Happy Birthday-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to another Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb collaboration. This month Deb picked this beautiful inspiration photo. Isn't it gorgeous? To create my card I started by layering some pretty patterned paper from the Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut the scalloped stitched edge rectangle using a Gina Marie Designs die. I stamped the beautiful floral images from the Stampers Anonymous Flower Garden stamp set directly onto the panel and colored them to match the inspiration photo using my alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti's Beautiful Banners stamp set at the bottom right using Versafine onyx black ink. For a little added embellishment I added the dots from the Stampendous Sunny Flowers stamp set all around the flowers using Stampin' Up's sahara sand ink and a little clear Wink of Stella to the flowers. 

As for my coffee selection I opted for a big cup of Seattle's Best French Roast coffee with a little white chocolate mocha creamer mixed in.

Bras Are Like Friends

Hello! I hope everyone is having a happy Monday. Today's card was created for the latest The Paper Players card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some dark turquoise cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut a scalloped edge rectangle panel using a Gina Marie Designs die and some white cardstock from Staples. I stamped the sentiments and the bra from the Skipping Stones Design Bras Volume 1 stamp set and colored the bra to match the layered cardstock. To finish the card I added some turquoise sequins from The Ton onto the base, added some shimmer to the bra using my Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen, and popped the entire panel up off of the card base using some inexpensive fun foam I found at Hobby Lobby. This card was super easy to create and would be fun to mass produce in different colors to create a fun gift pack! Thanks for stopping off here today and, if you like my card please leave a comment.
