Hello Sweet Friend-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello, happy July! We are full swing into summer here in Southeast Missouri, so Deb and I thought it would be fun to do a watermelon summer themed card this month for our Coffee and Cards collaboration. My card was pretty simple to create. I used large circle dies from Little B and some colored cardstock to create the elements that made up my watermelon. I ran my pink cardstock through a Swiss dot embossing folder before attaching it to the rest of the circle elements. I cut it in half to create two watermelon slices. Using a small heart die, I created the little watermelon seeds but cutting the hearts in half and adhering them onto my watermelon slices. I adhered some pretty pink gingham patterned paper from the Simple Stories Summer Lovin' 6x8 paper pad to the bottom of my A2 card panel. I die cut a white cardstock panel using a Whimsy Stamps Wavy Edger Die. I stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Hello Chickadee stamp set using Gina K black ink. I popped the panel up off of the card using foam tape. I adhered one of the watermelon slices directly to the card panel and popped the other one up using foam squares. I finished this cute summery card off by adding some pretty pink sequins from Pawsome Stamps. 

My coffee this month is a wonderful and tasty iced crème brûlée boba coffee that I picked up at a lovely coffee shop in my neighborhood. It was a nice treat on a really hot day! Now, be sure to stop by Debra's blog and see what fun she created this month for our summery theme!

 

You're So Smart

Hello and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is well and staying safe amidst our national COVID-19 crisis. Today's card was created for the latest Cardz 4 Galz and Watercooler Wednesday card challenges. I was in need of a graduation card so I thought it would be fun to create a card using this adorable image and sentiment from the Unity Stamp Company's Lil' Smartie Pants stamp set. I stamped the image and sentiment out onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it to match the patterned paper I planned to use. I die cut it into a circle using a Little B circle die set. I cut down some Stampin' UP's crumb cake cardstock into an A2 card base and adhered some pretty patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Early Bird Collection 6x6 paper pad directly on top. I cut the die cut panel down to be a semi circle and adhered it directly to the card panel. To finish off my card I added a few blue sequins from The Ton. Hello, happy hump day! Today's card was created for the latest The Male Room card challenge. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew I had to use the Art Impression Catching Z's stamp set. Their stamps are always so full of fun and whimsy and I thought this would make a fun card for any male occasion. To create my card I started by layering some patterned papers from the Little Yellow Bicycle Fern & Forest 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I die cut more of the same patterned papers into nesting circles using some Little B nesting circle dies and layered them directly onto the card base. I added some black dashed lines around the inner rectangle panel and the inner circle panel as well. I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Slang Gang stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice, crisp look. I then stamped the Art Impression image onto some Copic-friendly cardstock, colored it to compliment the patterned papers using my alcohol markers, fussy cut the image, and popped it up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I added a few 6mm black sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off my card. I love how it turned out and hope you like it too!

Today's card was created for the latest Just Us Girls Challenge. To create my card I started by prepping a pretty piece of foiled patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Fancy That 6x6 paper pad with my EK Success powder tool. I then stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes stamp set using Versamark ink and heat set it with Ranger gold embossing powder to match the gold foiling on the paper. I then stamped the silhouette flower image from Unity Stamp Company onto some plain white cardstock using the same ink and heat set it using more of the same gold embossing powder. I die cut the panel using dies from Little B and backed it onto some dark grey cardstock. To finish my card I simply popped the focal panel up off of the card using some 3M foam tape and offset on the card for some fun interest. This lovely floral card was created for two different challenges...The Paper Players sketch challenge and the MarkerPOP bi-weekly challenge. I love the layout of the sketch challenge and just gotten in a new stamp set that I wanted to ink up and color. For my card I started with some gorgeous and feminine patterned papers from the Chickanidy Scrumptious 6x6 paper pad and layered them onto my white card base following the sketch layout. I then die cut a fabulous open dot circled from Little B and stamped the beautiful floral bouquet from Unity Stamp Company's As We Go Along stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored the image using Copic markers and then mounted the circle image onto my card base. I cut two fishtail banners...one from white cardstock and the other from a leftover scrap of paper from the paper pad...and mounted them onto the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Unity stamp set and this card was done! So simple and so pretty! Would love to do these flowers in lots of different color combos!
