Your Wishes Will Come True

Today's card was created for the latest Cards 4 Galz card challenge. The challenge was to create an Oriential themed card. To create my card I started by layering some pretty green polka patterned paper from the Studio Calico Sundrifter 6x6 paper pad onto my A2 white card base. Using some Pink & Main A2 stackable rectangle dies I die cut a white panel using Copic friendly cardstock and then a slightly larger black one using Stampin' Up's basic black cardstock. I stamped the lanterns from the Lawn Fawn Lunar Lights stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored them using my alcohol markers, added some white gel pen for highlights, and went over all of them with clear Wink of Stella for a pretty shine. I then stamped the take out box, fortune, and chopsticks from Lawn Fawn's Good Fortune stamp set. I colored them, fussy cut them out, and popped them up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. For a final touch I added some small black sparkling gems by Ki in each corner.

Celebrate

Today's card was created for my good friend Freda's upcoming birthday. I will be entering this card into the Cards 4 Galz card challenge. To create my card I started with some gorgeous patterned papers from the American Crafts Stay Colorful 6x6 paper pad, and layered them onto my A2 white card base by cutting them down using a stitched curved edge die from Paper Smooches and added a lacy border using a Simon Says Stamp eyelet border die. I then stamped the beautiful girl image from the Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Posh Has A Present stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored her in using my alcohol markers in colors that coordinated with the papers. I fussy cut the image out using my detail scissors and popped her up onto my card using some Scrapbook Adhesives foam dimensionals. To finish my card off I rounded the bottom corners using my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, stamped the sentiment from the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink, and added a few turquoise sequins from The Ton around the card. Love how beautifully this card turned out. I know my friend will like it.

Hop, Hop, Hop

Hello and happy Sunday! It's been a bit wet and drizzly here in Southeast Missouri but I wish I could say that I've spent all day holed up getting inky and creative. I've been running all weekend, both literally and figuratively. I don't know if I've been losing my creative mojo or if I'm just excited about the longer days and warmer temps, but I just can't be at my desk right now. I did manage to hammer out a cute little Easter card for the latest Cards 4 Galz card challenge though. To create this sweet little card I started by layering some turquise cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white card base and then I layered on a panel that was created with a striped stencil and some Nuvo shimmer paste in pastel rainbow colors. I die cut a stitched edge oval using the same turquise cardstock and a die and popped it up off of the center of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the adorable bunny from The Alley Way's Spring Has Sprung stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it with my alcohol markers. I stamped the eggs from the same stamp set and then covered them with more of the same Nuvo shimmer paste. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set directly onto the oval focal panel using Versafine onyx black ink and then popped the bunny and eggs up using more foam dimensionals. To finish this fun card off I added some Glossy Accents to the bunny's nose and feet for some added shine and dimension. I think it turned out too cute! Thank you for stopping here today and if you like my card be sure and leave some love in the way of a comment. I appreciate them all!
