Just Bee-Cause

Today's card was created for the latest Inspired By card challenge. I created my card by layering a panel black cardstock onto my white card base that I had die cut a circle out of. I die cut another panel of yellow cardstock that I cut a hole out of and embossed with the fun honeycomb embossing folder by Momenta. I then stamped the bees and the sentiment from Hampton Art's Hello Honey stamp set. I fussy cut the bees and die cut the sentiment with a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the flowers from Simon Says Stamp's Butterfly Blossoms stamp set, colored them and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. Once I had all of my images and sentiment stamped and die cut, I adhered the black and yellow cardstock panels together and popped them up off of the card with foam tape for dimension. I adhered the bees and the sentiment in place using foam tape as well. I finished this card off with some gloss black gems from Trinity Stamps scattered around the card and star dust Stickles on the flowers and the wings of the bees. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Just Bee-cause

Hello and happy Saturday! We got a snow last night and it's around 21 degrees here today in Southeast Missouri. It's a bit cold to play outside, so I opted to do some light house cleaning and card making today. This card was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches card challenge. I created my card by embossing black cardstock from Stampin' UP using a Momenta honeycomb embossing folder. I adhered the panel to my white A2 card base. I then added a strip of patterned paper from Pink & Main's Spring Color Pop's 6x6 paper pad to the botton. To help distinguish from the embossed panel and the patterned paper I punched an edge of bright yellow cardstock from Hobby Lobby using a EK Success decorative punch. I adhered that strip at the seam between both panels. I then stamped the bee, the sentiment, and the decorative leaves from the Hampton Art's Hello Honey stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I added a bit of color to the bee and the sentiment using my alcohol markers. I then die cut the panel using a decorative die from Spellbinders. I popped the panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape and added a few black gems from Ki. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Hole In One

Today's card was created for the latest The Male Room challenge. To create my card I started by layering some blue cardstock from the Momenta Cardstock Mats paper pad that I had cut down into two rectangle panels onto my white A2 card base. I then layered some fun masculine patterned paper from the Pink & Main Spring Color Pop 6x6 paper pad on top. I stamped my focal image and sentiment from the Darcie's Heart & Home You Nailed It stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it with my alcohol markers. I added some white dotted details with my white gel pen and then die cut the image to create an oval panel using a pierced edge My Favorite Things oval die. I mounted the panel to the card using foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives and called this card done. Thank you for visiting my blog and hope you're staying safe out there!
