Happy Birthday-Send A Smile 4 Kids

This month at Send A Smile 4 Kids we are celebrating all things sports related. I have to admit, that I don't make too many sports related cards, so I took to Pinterest for inspiration. I started with an A2 panel of navy cardstock that I used to die cut the sentiment using a die from Blitsy. I then attached the panel directly to my card. I cut down a smaller white panel, and using a plate from my kitchen, I traced the circle onto the panel. Before I cut it into the baseball shape, I pierced the stitching lines into it using a piercing tool from my stash. I cut a 1" strip of red cardstock and created the details using the end of a heart die. I adhered them onto the white panel using liquid glue, trimmed off the overhang, and adhered the panel to the navy piece. I adhered my sentiment on the lower left side of the card and then added some bright yellow stars using a star die from my stash. It looks easy, but I had to throw 2 trials of this away before I got the dimensions correct. LOL. I finished the card off by adding some clear rhinestones from Recollections onto each of the stars. Thank you for stopping by my blog! Be sure to head over the Send A Smile 4 Kids blog and see what everyone else created this month!

Happy Birthday To My Bestie

My bestie Alana had a birthday this past week and I wanted to create something beautiful to celebrate her day.  I created this card by stamping the gorgeous image from the Unity Stamp Company's Planner Gal Be A Beauty stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the image using my alcohol markers and did a bit of paper piecing on her shirt by using some patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard 6x6 paper pad. I die cut the image out using a My Favorite Things pierced edge oval die. I layered a piece of patterned paper from the same We R Memory Keepers paper pad onto my white card base using 3M foam tape for some great dimension. I then adhered the oval focal panel down directly onto the card and added some clear Wink of Stella glitter brush and some Stickles to the flowers and leaves in her hair. I die cut the sentiment using some Stampin' UP black cardstock and a die from Blitsy. I adhered the sentiment directly to the card using some Zig glue and that finished up this pretty card. I hope you like it, and thank you for visiting my blog today!
