A Very Merry Christmas-SAS4Kids

 

Hello, and welcome to the July Send A Smile 4 Kids card challenge! This month we are celebrating Christmas in July. The challenge is to create a Christmas card to give to a child. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable Santa image from Inkadinkado's Christmas Characters stamp set onto some 110lb white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I did some simple coloring on the image using my alcohol markers and then die cut the image into a circle focal panel using a Gina Marie Designs double pierced edge circle die. I die cut a larger circle out of real red cardstock from Stampin' UP using a Spellbinders circle die and then layered the two panels together. I then embossed the background panel using a Provocraft 25 Days Of Christmas embossing folder and adhered it directly to my white A2 card. I cut down some panels from the My Mind's Eye Oh What Fun 6x6 paper pad, framed them out using more real red cardstock and adhered them directly to the card panel. I stamped the sentiment from the same Inkadinkado stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink, cut it down into a small sentiment panel, and backed it against more real red cardstock. To finish the card off I popped both the sentiment and the focal panel up off the card using some 3M foam tape. I can't wait to see what everyone else on the design team came up with this month! Today's card was created for the Cardz 4 Galz, Send A Smile 4 Kids, and Freshly Made Sketches card challenges. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable little snowman from the Inkadinkado Christmas Characters stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock, coloring it with my alcohol markers, and cutting it down with a Spellbinders circle die. I die cut a larger circle to frame it using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. I die cut a square of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas 6x6 paper pad and matted it with some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. I stamped the sentiment from the same Inkadinkado stamp set using Versamark clear ink and more early espresso cardstock and heat embossed it using white embossing powder from Ranger. To finish my card off I stamped a few of the snowflakes from the stamp set randomly around the white A2 card base using Stampin' UP's sahara sand ink. Love how adorably this turned out! 

 

 

Season's Greetings-Anything Goes Christmas Card Challenge

Today's card was created for the Christmas card challenge-Anything Goes over on the Sparkle Creations blog. For my card I stamped out the adorable little snowman from Inkadinkado's Christmas Characters stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp stamped image. I colored the snowman using my Copic alcohol markers and then cut the image out using a circle die from Spellbinders. I edged it out by adding some faux stitched lines using a Memento tuxedo black dual marker. Love how it defines that adorable image! The patterned papers are from the We R Memory Keepers Silver & Gold 6x6 paper pad and I used an American Crafts metallic marker in gold to add the awesome gold faux stitched lines around the outer edges of the card. Love this simple and adorable card and will have to mass produce it to give out at Christmas!
