Hello! I am guest designing for the latest 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge. To create my card, I started by layering some navy cardstock from Hobby Lobby's Recollections onto my white A2 card base. I then layered some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Oh Christmas Tree 12x12 paper pad. I then die cut a circle panel using more navy cardstock using a stitched circle die from My Favorite Things, embossed it using a snowflake embossing folder from The Paper Studio, and adhered it directly onto my card. I then stamped all of the images from the My Favorite Things Cool Day stamp set onto Copic-friendly white cardstock, colored them using my alcohol markers, and fussy cut them out. I popped the images up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and then added white gel pen details to the images. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
Today's card was created for the latest 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and Addicted To Stamps card challenges. To create my card I started by taking some light blue cardstock I had in my stash and inking some Tim Holtz distress inks in faded jeans and prized ribbon around the edges to create a night sky. I then die cut the nativity using black cardstock and the Hero Arts Nativity A2 cover die plate, and then selectively trimmed away the parts I didn't want. I adhered the Nativity piece to the ink blended background panel and then popped them up with foam tape. Before adhering the panel onto my card I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Sing Of The King stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. Once that was dry I popped up my focal panel and added some stars using my Sakura white jelly roll pen. I love how simple and easy this card was to create. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
This month I have the honor of being a guest designer at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge, and I could not be more excited! I absolutely love sketches but must say that this one took me a bit out of my comfort zone. I started with some Kelly green cardstock and layered that on top of my white A2 card base. I then cut some triangles from the Pebbles Wintertime Wishes 6x6 patterned paper pad and adhered them directly to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from Margaret Sherry's Christmas Cuties stamp set directly onto the card base at the bottom left corner using Versamark ink and then heat embossed it using Ranger detail white embossing powder. I stamped some snowflakes from the WPlus9 Winter Woodland stamp set onto the top right corner and heat embossed that as well. I added white dashed lines around the outer edges of the card and along the patterned paper for some additional interest. To finish off my card I stamped the adorable snowman and Christmas tree from the Crafter's Companion Little Snowmen stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. My card was created for the latest 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. To create my card I started by stamping focal image from the Power Poppy Cozy Cupfuls stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the image using my alcohol markers in colors that would compliment my patterned papers and then die cut the panel using a stacking rectangle die from Pink & Main. Using papers from the Heidi Swapp Noel 6x6 paper pad I followed the sketch. I stamped the sentiment from the same Power Poppy stamp set and then cut it out using my trimmer. I popped the sentiment strip and the focal panel up off of the card using foam tape. To finish the card off I added some white gel pen accents to the image and black dashed lines around the outer edges of both the focal panel and the sentiment strip to give it a bit of interest against the busy background. Hello and happy Sunday! Hopefully everyone is recovering from Christmas and New Year's. Today's card was created for the latest 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. I fell in love with the sketch as soon as I saw it. I have tons of patterned paper and it was not only an excuse to break out some of the fun papers I've been hoarding but to color up a fun new digital image I purchased on Etsy. To create my card I started by layering some real red cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 card base. I then layered a piece of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Be Merry 6x6 paper pad on top. Using the bottom portion of that paper that I trimmed down I flipped it over and adhered it to more red cardstock and adhered that to the left of my panel. I colored the adorable penguin image I purchased on Etsy using my Copic markers and die cut the image using a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite things. I die cut another oval using more real red cardstock and a Spellbinders die. I adhered the red oval directly to the card panel and then popped the focal panel up using foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Hello mini stamp set using Gina K Designs red hot ink and adhered that to more real red cardstock and trimmed it out into a little panel that I popped up to the lower right of the focal panel. I added a few snowflakes to the penguin image using Gina K Designs ocean mist ink and a stamp from the Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe stamp set. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
My last card today was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches and 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenges. This card came together pretty quickly. I've had a small bundle of Christmas stickers that were gifted to me by a fellow crafter since last year and I've never used them. So when I saw the latest Christmas Card Throwdown challenge I knew I had to break out that bundle of stickers and put at least one of them to use. It's time to get a jumpstart on my Christmas cards anyway. I started by layering some patterned papers from the We R Memory Keepers Silver & Gold 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I then die cut a circle using more of the same patterned papers and a pierced circle die from My Favorite Things. I adhered the circle directly to the card panel and added some black dashed lines around the outer panel. I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Sing Of The King stamp set onto the card using Versafine onyx black ink. To finish the card off I added the nativity sticker and the coordinating stars around it. Love how clean and simple this card turned out. I hope you like it too.
Today's card was created for the latest Christmas Card Throwdown theme challenge. To create this fun all white card I started by cutting a focal panel and adhering a snow drift to it that I had created using a Paper Smooches stitched line die. I then die cut the entire panel using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I then adhered both of the trees from the Taylored Expressions Evergreen die set onto the panel followed by two of the deer from the Impression Obsession Deer Trio die set directly onto my winter scene panel using my Zig two way glue pen. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Merry Christmas sentiment and adhered that directly onto the panel. I popped the entire panel up off of the card using fun foam from Hobby Lobby and then finished it off with some 6mm and 4mm clear sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Today's card was created for both the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and The Paper Players challenges. To create my card I started by embossing a piece of white cardstock using a random dot Stampin' UP embossing folder. I adhered that panel directly onto my white card base. I then stamped the adorable little snowman from the My Favorite Things Happy Heart Snowman stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock, colored him using my alcohol markers, and then fussy cut him out. I die cut a snow bank using some more white cardstock and the stitched edge die from the Simon Says Stamp Drifting Stitches Border die set. I stamped the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Cheerful Christmas Greetings stamp set directly onto the snow bank using some Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp look. I went all around the edges of my snowman image with my dual edge Memento tuxedo black marker and adhered him to the snow drift using some snail adhesive. Once attached I popped the entire panel up off of the card using some 3M foam tape for some nice dimension. Some clear Wink of Stella on the heart, hat, and scarf finished this card off nicely. Today's card was created for the latest 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. I love this fun sketch and had just picked up a new pad of Christmas papers from Blitsy.com and I thought I would give it a go! I started with a white card base and layered on some pretty patterned papers from the American Crafts Very Merry 6x6 paper pad using the sketch for the layout. I die cut a circle using a Gina Marie Designs cross stitch edge die and layered it at the bottom of the card. I die cut a snowflake (die manufacturer unknown) using white cardstock and layered onto the circle panel using some Stampin' UP foam squares for some added loft and dimension. I cut out one of the tags from the paper pad and fussy cut the sentiment leaving a small border around the edges and adhered it directly onto the snowflake. I drew on some faux stitching along all of the outer edges to help define the patterned papers a bit more. A few clear rhinestones onto the sentiment, the snowflake, and the corners of the card add a nice finishing detail and some extra sparkle.
