O Night Divine

 

Today's card was created for the latest 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and Addicted To Stamps card challenges. To create my card I started by taking some light blue cardstock I had in my stash and inking some Tim Holtz distress inks in faded jeans and prized ribbon around the edges to create a night sky. I then die cut the nativity using black cardstock and the Hero Arts Nativity A2 cover die plate, and then selectively trimmed away the parts I didn't want. I adhered the Nativity piece to the ink blended background panel and then popped them up with foam tape. Before adhering the panel onto my card I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Sing Of The King stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. Once that was dry I popped up my focal panel and added some stars using my Sakura white jelly roll pen. I love how simple and easy this card was to create. Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Let It Snow

Hello, happy Saturday! Today's card was created for the latest Fusion Card Challenge and Addicted To Stamps And More challenge. To create my card I started by layering a piece of white cardstock that I had embossed using a Paper Studio snowflake embossing folder onto my A2 card base. I then cut strips of patterned paper from the American Crafts North Pole 6x6 paper pad and adhered them onto the card following the sketch. I die cut a circle using a stitched edge circle die from My Favorite Things and stamped the adorable image from My Favorite Things Merry Kissmas mini stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored the image using my Copic markers and added some fun details with my Sakura jelly roll white gel pen. To finish my card I popped the die cut focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape.

Today's card was created for the Jingle Belles and Addicted To Stamps And More card challenges. To create my card I stamped the snowy background onto some white cardstock using Versamark ink and a Christmas background stamp from Recollections. I heat embossed it using Ranger white detail embossing powder. Once dried I inked the background using a round blender tool and Ranger inks in mermaid lagoon, faded jeans, and black soot. I spritzed the panel with water to create a little mottling in the background colors. I then stamped the adorable snowman with his big heart onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock using the My Favorite Things Heart Snowman stamp and Memento tuxedo black ink. I stamped the sentiment from Crate Papers Snow and Cocoa mini stamp set at the bottom and then fussy cut the entire image out. I then mounted it directly to my background and finished the card off with some white gel details on the snowman. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Gnome For The Holidays

 

Whew, it's Friday! It's been a long week and work has been crazy and I've been struggling with my sleep. What better way to relax and get over it all? Craft! I am in the process of making my Christmas cards for next month. This card was created for the latest Addicted to Stamps And More, The Male Room, and the Freshly Made Sketches card challenges. To create my card I started by die cutting the adorable Li'l Gnome from Simon Says Stamp using some white cardstock for the base and patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Oh What Fun 6x6 paper pad. I colored the beard and nose using my Copic markers. I then die cut a gorgeous Nordic pierced edge circle from The Greetery using white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Gnome For The Holidays stamp set using Gina K Designs black ink. I stamped the pine trees from Inkadinkado's Trees stamp set using Stampin' UP's Old Olive ink. Using some green cardstock from Hobby Lobby I cut an A2 panel to completely cover my white card base. I then layered some papers from the same My Mind's Eye Oh What Fun paper pad onto the card and then added the focal panel directly on top. I added some foam tape to the back of my gnome and popped him up off of the card for a final touch. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Hello and happy first day of spring! It's still a little cool here in Southeast Missouri but things are definitely starting to bloom here and I suspect I will have to start mowing my lawn in the next few weeks. I created this fun springtime card for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More card challenge. To create my card I layered some beautiful springtime patterned papers from Echo Park's Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I added some black lines around the outer edge of the blue paper for a bit more visual interest and contrast. The focal image is a digital stamp from Angie Blom that I was gifted from a friend on a recent card swap. She shipped it to me uncolored so I colored it using my Copic markers to matc the colors in the plaid patterned paper and die cut it into a focal panel using a Gina Marie stitched rectangle die. I popped the panel up using 3M foam tape and adhered it to the card at a wonky angle. To finish it off I added some clear sparkling 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Birthday Zombies

Hello and happy Sunday! My card today was created for the latest Time Out Challeges and Addicted To Stamps And More Challenge. To create my card I started by layering a fun piece of grungy patterned paper from the Studio Calico Darling Dear 6x6 paper pad directly onto my white A2 card base. I then stamped the fun zombie from The Cat's Pajama's Mwahh stamp set three times onto a piece of Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the images using my alcohol markers and then stamped the sentiment from the Sugar Pea Designs Undying Love stamp set onto the front. The front reads "Birthdays are like zombies." And the inside reads "they just keep coming and coming until you die!" To finish my card up I popped it up off of the front panel using some fun foam from Hobby Lobby, added some scribbly lines around the focal panel using my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker, and then added Glossy Accents to the zombies eyes. This card simply cracks me up! I hope you like it too. 

You Are Sweet Like Honey

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More card challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the honeycomb pattern from the Unity Stamp Company's Eyes Of The Beholder KOTM stamp set onto some kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby using Memento cocoa brown ink. I cut down a small piece of floral patterned paper from the Ki Vintage Charm 6x6 paper pad and offset it to the left of the card. I then die cut a tag using a pierced edge tag die from MFT using some crumb cake cardstock from Stampin' UP and stamped the sentiment from the same Unity Stamp Company stamp set. I attached a piece of pretty orange-pink crinkle ribbon from my ribbon stash to the top of my tag and tied it off with some white hemp twine from American Crafts. I popped the tag up off of the card using some fun foam from Hobby Lobby. I completed this pretty little card by die cutting the bee and wreath using a Spellbinders die set and some white cardstock from Staples. I popped it up off of the tag. Hello Friend

Today's card was created for both the AAA Cards and Addicted To Stamps And More challenges. To create my card I started by stamping the beautiful Angie girl image from the Unity Stamp Company's It's Going To Be Beautiful kit of the month stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock. I then stamped the image again numerous times onto some beautiful autumn themed patterned paper I found last fall in the dollar bin at Target. I fussy cut the papers out and glued them onto the image using my Zig two way glue pen after edging them all with my Memento tuxedo black dual tip pen for a nice clean look. I stamped the sentiment from the Unity Stamp Company's Free Your Dreams kit of the month stamp set onto more of the patterned paper and cut it down to a banner. I adhered some of the beautiful autumn papers onto my white card base and then layered the focal panel and the banner on top. I love how beautifully this paper pieced card turned out. I hope you like it too! 

We Three Kings

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More Challenge. To create my card I started with a white card base and stamped the sentiment from the Penny Black We Three Kings stamp set directly onto the card. I then attached some pretty patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp Noel 6x6 paper pad onto the card. I die cut a circle panel out of white cardstock and embossed it using an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts and adhered it directly onto the card. I stamped the flourish from the Simon Says Stamp Inside Holiday Greetings stamp set directly onto the patterned paper below the focal panel using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp impression. I then stamped the wise men from the Penny Black stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the image out and edged around it with my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker for a nice clean look. I popped the wise men up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and adhered them onto the card on top of the focal panel. A few gold sequins finished this card off nicely. Happy Easter

Today's card was created for the latest The Paper Players and Addicted To Stamps And More challenges. I started by stamping the adorable bunny from the Unity Stamp Company's January Kit of the Month {When You Smile}onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I created a mask for the image and then stamped the background by using Tim Holtz distress ink in picked raspberry and the Hero Arts Leaf & Floral background stamp. I removed the mask and colored the bunny in using my Copic alcohol markers. I added some pink ice Stickles the flowers and a few small clear rhinestones from Recollections for some additional sparkle. Using an ink pad direct to paper technique I created a small mat to frame out my focal panel that I adhered down to the white card base. I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Happy Everything stamp set onto a strip of white cardstock and adhered it to the card panel. I added a few larger clear rhinestones from Recollections as a final touch for this adorably cute Easter card.  I hope you like it!

Merry Christmas

My first card today was created for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More challenge. To create my holiday themed card I started by layering some red cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white card base and then layered some pretty patterned paper from the American Crafts Jolly 6x6 paper pad on top. I then die cut a scalloped edge rectangle panel using a Gina Marie die and popped it up off of the card using some 3M foam tape. I stamped the stocking image from Hero Arts K5254 wooden stamp directly onto the panel and colored the ribbon in using my Uni-ball Signo white gel pen for some nice contrast. I then stamped the image again onto some Copic-friendly cardstock, colored the images using my alcohol markers, fussy cut them, and went around the edges of each one using my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker for a nice clean die cut look. I added a few details using my white gel pen and then popped the stockings up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. For the final touch I stamped the sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe stamp set at the top of the panel. I hope you like this whimsical and fun little card!

Home For The Holidays

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More challenge. To create my holiday card I started with a white card base and layered on some Stampin' UP basic black cardstock. I then layered on some patterned papers from the Pinkfresh Studio Christmas Wishes 6x6 paper pad. I then added a small strip of the same black cardstock between the patterned papers for a bit more contrast. I stamped the adorable bear from Stampin' UP's Thankful Forest Friends onto the same black cardstock using Versamagic ink and heat embossed the image using some Recollections snow white embossing powder. I fussy cut the image and layered it onto the card using some Stampin' UP dimensionals and some additional elements from the Pinkfresh Studio Christmas Wishes ephemera pack. I added a few clear 4mm and black 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish this adorable card. I hope you like it!

Happy Birthday Poppies

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More challenge. The challenge was to create a clean and simple card...something I struggle with. I really love layers and patterned papers so doing a one layer or CAS card is tough for me. But I managed to break out of my comfort zone with this one by doing some light watercoloring on an embossed image. I started by prepping some Canson coldpress watercolor paper with my EK Success powder tool and then stamped the poppy image from Unity Stamp Company's Wishing You Joy stamp set and then birthday greeting from Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Borders stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. I covered the images with Zing clear embossing powder and heat set them using my heat tool. Once that was cooled I did some very light watercoloring using Tim Holtz distress ink in spun sugar and picked raspberry. Then cut the watercolor panel down to 1/4" smaller than my white card base and mounted it directly onto the card using Sookwang double-sided tape so it would keep it from warping. Love how pretty this turned out!
