Happy Mother's Day Mom

My second card today was created for the AAA Cards Challenge. To create my card I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock down slightly smaller than my card base. I prepped the cardstock with my EK Success powder tool and then stamped the beautiful mandala image onto the paper using Versamark clear ink. I then coated the panel with Recollections snow white embossing powder. I heat set the panel and then inked it using Tim Holtz distress ink in picked raspberry. I wiped the panel down with a clean baby white to get the ink off of the white embossing. I then cut down a piece of vellum that I got at my local Hobby Lobby. I prepped it with the same powder tool. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine onyx black ink and Concord & 9th's Sophisticated Script stamp set. Once stamped I covered the panel with some Recollections clear embossing powder and heat set it. I glued both panels down to the card base and added some 6mm sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The inside of the card reads, " Good Job Mom. Happy Mother's Day!" My mom loved it!

Merci

Today's card was created for the current Less Is More challenge. This week's challenge is to create a one layer card using something French. I started by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Avery Elle Petals & Stems stamp set onto some 110 lb Copic-friendly cardstock. I used Memento inks and then I added some shadows and depth using my Copic markers. I then added the sentiment below using the Sophisticated Script stamp set from Concord & 9th. I adore this beautiful alpha set and love to break it out when I can. I finished the card off by rounding the corners using my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper and added some black dashed lines around the outside edge.

Hello

Today's card was created for the latest Color Throwdown challenge. I layered a piece of horizontal gray striped patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Simply Spring 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I then die cut a white stitched rectangle using a Gina Marie Designs die. I stamped the largest rose from the My Favorite Things MPD Rose Bouquet using Gina K Designs innocent pink and then created a mask. I stamped the two smaller roses in the same color and then stamped the leaves in the stamp set using Memento london fog ink. Once the base layers were on the card I stamped the details of the roses using Gina K Designs passionate pink. For added contrast I stamped the greeting using Concord & 9th's sophisticated script stamp set and Versafine ink in smokey gray. I popped the focal panel up using some 3M foam tape, added a few 4mm and 6mm sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and went over the flowers and leaves using my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for some added sparkle and shine. I hope you like it!
