Happy Halloween

Hello, happy Thursday! I recently won the Picket Fence Studios Triple Trouble stamp and die set and could not resist using it for this challenge. I created this card by stamping the pumpkins, the witch hat, and the sentiment onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, coloring them with alcohol markers, and die cutting the images with the coordinating dies. I cut a frame using Paper Roses stitched stacking rectangle dies and pretty patterned paper from Recollections Midnight Magic Halloween 6x6 paper pad. I popped the frame up using foam tape. I traced along the frame onto the card base, and inked the interior with villenous potion and wilted violet distress inks from Tim Holtz. I sprized the panel with some water for a little distressed interest, and then stamped the bats from the stamp set onto the background. I popped the images and the sentiment up with foam tape and then adhered them to the frame. I mounted the whole thing to my card base. I finished off the card by adding white gel pen to all of the elements. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I appreciate you! 

 

Thanks-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

 

This month's Coffee and Cards collaboration with Deb and I will feature cards using items we "lost" or stored away and recently found again. I have long time been a fan of the bargains I would find at my local Tuesday Morning. Last year I picked up a pack of puffy stickers and washi tapes from Heidi Swapp and recently found them cleaning out my craft closet. When Deb suggested this idea for our collaboration this month I just knew I'd have to use them. I created my card by layering the washi tape strips from Heidi Swapp onto a piece of plain white cardstock and then added the sentiment and puffy hearts from Heidi Swapp's Buzzwords sticker pack above the tape. I die cut the panel down using a stitched stacking rectangle die from Paper Roses and added some black twine from American Crafts at the top of the washi tape. I popped the panel up using 3M foam tape. I added a panel of dusky blue linen cardstock from the K&Company Designer Mat pad of cardstock and added the panel onto the card. I love when I can put a card together with no stamping! 

This month I opted for tea instead of coffee. I chose a lovely and fragrant Earl Gray from Harney & Sons. Now be sure to hop on over to Deb's blog and see what fun she created for us this month! 

We're The Perfect Pair

I have an old Army mom friend who has her 45th wedding anniversary coming up next month, and she reached out to me to have me create a fun, unique card that she could give her husband. She told me that he loves squirrels and wanted there to be 7 acorns on the card...two for their children and 5 for their grandchildren. I have had the Darcie's Heart & Home Busy Beaver stamp set for years and knew it would be perfect for this card since it had all of the elements she asked for. I stamped the squirrel twice and then the acorns, tree trunk, mushroom, and flowers all from the same stamp set onto white Copic-friendly paper using Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored all of the images using my alcohol markers, fussy cut each image out, and edged them with my Memento dual tip marker in black. I then layered some pretty fall patterned papers from the American Crafts Autumn Crisp 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I die cut a white panel using a stitched edge A2 layering rectangle die from Paper Roses. I die cut another small piece of white paper using a Lawn Fawn grass border die and colored it green using an alcohol marker. I used the bottom of the Paper Roses rectangle die to cut it to match my main focal panel. Using the My Favorite Things mini cloud stencil I created a background of fluffy clouds and then adhered the grassy strip to the bottom. I stamped the fun sentiment from Amy R Stamps Wedding Sentimens II using Versafine onyx black ink and then popped the whole panel up off of the card for some dimension. I added my squirrels, tree trunk, acorns, and other accessories directly onto the panel. I love how adorably sweet this card turned out. Happy Anniversary to Colleen and Marv! Hello Honey-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and Happy Father's Day! For this month's Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb we chose bees as our main theme for our cards. To create my card I started by layering some basic black cardstock onto my white A2 card base and then stamped the bee onto some white cardstock using Hampton Art Hello Honey stamp set and Memento tuxedo black ink. Using one of the foliage stamps in the set I created an oval wreath around my bee, stamped the sentiment above and below the bee, and added some honey comb elements in the corners. I colored all of the images using my Copic markers and die cut that panel using a Paper Rose stitched edge stacking die. I mounted the focal panel onto my card base using 3M foam tape and then finished the card off with some Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen onto the wings and some pretty gems from the Honey Bee Stamps Fresh Brewed gem collection. 

My coffee selection this month is kind of coffee themed. I went this past week to St. Louis with some friends and stopped at a local restaurant that microbrews their own beer. I couldn't turn down this amazing maple coffee stout, especially given how hot it's been here in the Midwest this past week. This stuff really hit the spot! Holiday Cookie Swap?-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Happy Easter! Hopefully you are all enjoying time spent with family and beautiful weather today. Deb and I are back for another Coffee and Cards collaboration and this month we wanted to create something with a retro vibe. I started by stamping the fabulous retro image and sentiment from Riley & Company onto some Copic friendly white cardstock. I colored her skin and hair using my alcohol markers. I then paper pieced her dress and apron using patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Yuletide 6x6 paper pad and adhered them directly onto the image using. I die cut the panel using a stitched edge rectangle die from Paper Rose. I then layered more of the same patterned papers onto my A2 white card base.   I separated the papers by using a white scalloped border I created with a Fiskar's punch and added a small fish tail banner to the top. I popped the focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape and then added some black gems that were left over from a diamond art kit I created over the summer. I love recycling little items like that! To finish off the card I added some white gel pen details to her jewelry and her eyes. 

I got up early this morning and joined a few of my running buddies for a 6 mile run/walk. I rewarded myself afterward with an iced Matcha latte from my local Dunkin Donuts. It definitely hit the spot.
