Send A Smile 4 Kids Valentine

Today's card was created for the latest Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge. The challenge is to create anything goes or something Valentine's Day. To create my card I started by stamping the ketchup and mustard bottles and the hotdog from the Sweet Stamp Shop's Perfect Match stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers. I also took an extra piece of the same cardstock and covered it with same red marker I used to color the ketchup. I cut two small strips of paper and die cut a few hearts using Stampin' UP's build an owl punch. I love the tiny little heart on that punch! I fussy cut the images out and edged them with my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker. I then adhered some patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket 2twenty thr3e 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and adhered the colored strips I created. I popped the images up off of the card using Stampin' UP's foam dimensionals and glue the hearts down. For a finishing touch I added some black dashed lines at the top and bottom of the main focal panel to help divide the accent paper. I think it turned out super cute! Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Zombie Birthday

Today's card was created for the Time Out Challenge. I was inspired by the colors and the chevrons on the far left pumpkin. Chevrons are so on-trend right now and I love anything fall so these colors are right up my alley! I started with my Sweet Stamp Shop Zombie stamp set and stamped the zombies out onto some white 110 lb. cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I added a few "accessories" to them by stamping the tie and the bones and coloring those in too. I stamped out the speech bubble and the stamp set offers several smaller sentiments to added under the word "BLAH" so I chose happy birthday. I popped all of these images up using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and then layered them onto my card base which has some fun patterned papers from the American Crafts Halloween 6x6 paper pad. I stamped the blood splatters in black and this card was done! The inside sentiment is from the Sugar Pea stamp set Zombies and it reads "birthdays are like zombies. They just keep coming and coming until you're dead!" I have a lot of twisted friends and family who love this kind of humor. LOL.

Happy Halloween

I don't send out a lot of Halloween cards but I have a friend who is a fellow fan of The Walking Dead and thought I would pop this one in the mail for her and it would be perfect for the new Can You Case It challege. I started with a base of black cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I stamped a Heidi Grace chevron background stamp onto some smoke grey cardstock (also from Hobby Lobby) using some Colorbox chalk ink in charcoal. I then stamped the happy Halloween sentiment from MSE Hallween Innies & Outies stamp set in Versafine onyx black ink. I stamped the blood splatter and the nom nom from the Sweet Stamp Shop Zombies stamp set. I took my white gel pen and added a few dots around the card background. I stamped the zombies onto some white cardstock and colored them in using Copic markers and added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen and then popped them up onto some foam dimensionals by Stampin' UP. I added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the blood and called this card done.
