Wishing You A Happy Birthday-Send A Smile 4 Kids

 

This month at Send A Smile 4 Kids, we are celebrating birthdays for kids! It just so happens that I am attending a birthday party next weekend for a special little girl and felt like this card would be perfect for her. I started by layering some pink cardstock onto my white A2 cardbase leaving a quarter inch border around the sides. I die cut a panel of plaid patterned paper from the Echo Park Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad using a Wavy Edger Die from Whimsy Stamps, and adhered it to the card base at the top of the card. I stamped the little girl from My Favorite Things Unicorns and Glitter stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored her, and cut her out with the matching die. I stamped the balloon, cake, and gift from Spellbinders Gnomie Birthday stamp set, colored the images, and fussy cut them. I adhered all of the images to the card base using low profile foam tape. I then die cut the sentiment from a stand-alone Heffy Doodle die using dark grey cardstock from my stash. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock using Versafine smokey grey ink and The Greetery's PreText Sentiment stamp set. I cut the panel down to the think sliver, popped it up on foam strips from Stampin' UP, and adhered it above the birthday sentiment die. Happy Easter-Send A Smile 4 Kids

This month at Send A Smile 4 Kids we are celebrating Spring/Easter!

I have two adorable granddaughters that I always send Easter cards to, and thought this would be such a cute one to send to the youngest one. To create my card I started by die cutting the focal panel using Waffle Flower's Window Trio 1 die to cut the squares into my patterned paper from Echo Park's Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad. I then layered a piece of pink solid patterned paper from the same paper pad underneath. Using a 1" square paper punch from EK Success, I cut the smaller squares. I stamped the adorable images from Darcie's Feathers and Fur stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock, colored them using my alcohol markers, and fussy cut them out. I popped the whole panel up off of my white A2 card using 3M foam tape, leaving a nice 1/4" border around the edges. I adhered all of the critters into their little "windows" using liquid glue and more 3M foam tape. I finished off this adorable card by adding some sparkly pink sequins that I picked up at my local craft store. Thank you for stopping by today. Hello Sweet Friend

It's been entirely too cold here in Southeast Missouri to get out and do anything productive in single digit temps. So, I decided to make cards this afternoon. I created this card by die cutting a scalloped edge stitched rectangle panel using Gina Marie Designs dies and white cardstock. I layered a piece of light blue gingham from Echo Park's Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad that I die cut with a stitched rectangle die from MFT. I die cut some fish tail banners from solid pink cardstock from the same Echo Park collection using Unity Stamp's Scallops & Banners die set. I mounted them on plain white cardstock and cut them out leaving a small border. I stamped the sentiment and the adorable little bird from Technique Tuesday's Hello Chickadee stamp set on both banners. I stamped an extra bird onto plain white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it using my Copic markers. Using my Crop-a-dile, I punched some small holes at the top of the banners. I popped them up off of the card using 3M foam tape and ran some white baker's twine from Stampin' UP through the holes and adhered them directly behind the focal panel. To finish of this sweet card I added a bow with more of the white twine and a few blush sequins around the banners. I will be linking this up at the latest Color Throwdown card challenge. Happy Mother's Day-Send A Smile 4 Kids

Hello, happy Saturday! Today's card was created for this month's Send A Smile 4 Kids, where our challenge was to create a card for a child to give to a mother/grandmother. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable birds and sentiment from Hero Arts Mother's Day stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink and some 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the images in with my alcohol markers and die cut the image into a focal panel using a x-stitch circle die from Gina Marie Designs. Then I picked some plain blue paper from the Echo Park Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad and stamped the Simon Says Stamp Sketchy Lines background stamp onto it using Gina K ink in ocean mist. I cut the panel to fit my A2 card base and adhered it directly to the front. Using the scrap that was left over from the 6x6 blue paper I stamped the same background stamp and cut it down to a smaller strip. I then die cut the scalloped and stitched rectangle panel out using another Gina Marie Designs die and then adhered more of the patterned paper from the same paper pad in the center for some contrast. I adhered the small strip across the center and popped the circle panel up directly in the center using 3M foam tape. That finished up my cute Mother's Day card. Hello and happy first day of spring! It's still a little cool here in Southeast Missouri but things are definitely starting to bloom here and I suspect I will have to start mowing my lawn in the next few weeks. I created this fun springtime card for the latest Addicted To Stamps And More card challenge. To create my card I layered some beautiful springtime patterned papers from Echo Park's Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I added some black lines around the outer edge of the blue paper for a bit more visual interest and contrast. The focal image is a digital stamp from Angie Blom that I was gifted from a friend on a recent card swap. She shipped it to me uncolored so I colored it using my Copic markers to matc the colors in the plaid patterned paper and die cut it into a focal panel using a Gina Marie stitched rectangle die. I popped the panel up using 3M foam tape and adhered it to the card at a wonky angle. To finish it off I added some clear sparkling 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
