America, Home Of the Brave
Hello! Can you believe it's June 1st already? This year seems to just be flying by. My card today was created for The Card Concept card challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Patriotic stamp set using Memento inks in reds and blues. I cut the panel down using a Pink & Main stacking rectangle die and then mounted it onto a scalloped edge panel I die cut using some navy cardstock from my stash and a die from Gina Marie Designs. I added a few navy 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in the four corners of the panel. For my card base I layered more navy cardstock and layered a piece of plain white cardstock on top for a frame. Die cutting pieces of patterned paper from the American Crafts American 6x6 paper pad using a zig zag border from Pretty Pink Posh I layered all of the pieces together to create a background and then cut it down into a rectangle slightly smaller than my white panel. I then mounted the focal panel on top using 3M foam tape. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Autumn Leaves Thank You
Hello and happy Saturday! I wish I could say that I've been outside enjoying cooler temps and pretty fall foliage but we have warmed back up again here in Southeast Missouri. So, I'm indoors in the AC and making cards. Today's card was created for both The Card Concept and If You Give A Crafter A Cookie card challenges. I don't do clean and simple cards very often but I wanted the leaves on this card to be the center of attention. To create my CAS card I started by embossing my white A2 card panel using a pretty plaid embossing folder from Spellbinders. I adhered it directly to my white card base. I then die cut a dark brown wreath using a Memory Box die and some early espresso card stock from Stampin' UP and adhered it directly onto the focal panel. I die cut the leaves using Jillian Vance stitched leaves dies and some Royal Langnickel watercolor paper. Using some autumn inspired colors of distress ink I inked the leaves using a foam blending tool. I popped each of the leaves up using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and adhered them around the wreath. Using the Paper Rose Thank you die and frame set I die cut the sentiment using vellum and more early espresso cardstock. I adhered them together using some liquid adhesive and attached it to the center of the wreath using some Darice foam strips. I love the clean simplicity of this card. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and, I hope where ever you are in the United States, that you are getting the opportunity to enjoy some beautiful fall weather.

Have A Sweet Holiday and winner announcement
Hello and thank you for popping on over to my blog today. I can't believe it's December already! Today's yummy card was created for both The Card Concept and The Sisterhood Of Crafters card challenges. To create my card I started by coloring the edges of piece of white Copic-friendly cardstock green and adhered it to my white A2 card base. I then die cut a pretty stitched and scalloped panel using a Gina Marie Designs die. I stamped the sentiment from the Avocado Arts Gingerbread Goodness stamp set onto the panel using Versafine onyx black ink. I then stamped the gumdrop and the peppermint from the same Avocado Arts stamp set and the holly cluster from the Simon Says Stamp Ugly Sweater stamp set onto white Copic-friendly cardstock. I created masks for the 3 images and then stamped the cupcakes from Hero Arts Cupcakes stamp set onto them. I colored each of the images using my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out. I popped them up using foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. To finish this adorable card off I added some clear shimmer and shine using my Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen on the cupcakes frosting, added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and some crystal and red Stickles to the gumdrop, holly, and peppermint.
I also wanted to announce the winner of the blog candy from last week's Coffee And Cards Collaboration With Celeste and Deb. Congratulations Sue D! I will be shooting you an email to get your mailing address.

Fall Leaves Thank You
Hello, happy Monday! Fall is here in full effect in Southeast Missouri and the foliage is simply gorgeous, so I was excited to create something reflecting the rich, beautiful colors of the season. I will be submitting this card in both the The Card Concept and The Paper Players card challenges. To create my card I started with an A2 base of crumbcake cardstock from Stampin' UP. I layered on a piece of plaid patterned paper from the Echo Park Reflections Fall 12x12 paper pad that I had die cut using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I then die cut a fishtail banner using more of the patterned paper from the same paper pack and a die from Jillian Vance. I wrapped the bottom of the banner with some brown sugar bakers twine from We R Memory Keepers and adhered it directly to the card. Using a leaf punch from EK Success I punched out more of the patterned paper and heat embossed it with some Recollections brown sugar embossing powder and a sentiment from the WPlus9 Strictly Sentiments stamp set. I popped the leaf up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and finished the card off with some pretty rich bronze sequins from The Ton. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Happy Birthday

Today's card was created for the latest The Card Concept Challenge. I absolutely love everything about this gorgeous inspiration photo and wanted to create a card using as many of the elements as I could in the photo. To create my card I started by stamping a piece of kraft cardstock using a Heidi Swapp woodgrain background stamp and ColorBox chalk ink in charcoal. I dried the cardstock with my heat tool and then went over the paper with more Colorbox charcoal ink in unicorn to give it a nice whitewashed look. I set that aside and then stamped several of the floral images from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Flower Garden stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the flowers to match the photo using my alcohol markers. I then stamped the sentiment from the Winnie & Walter The Big,the Bold, and the Happy stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp look. I die cut the panel using a Gina Marie Designs stitched rectangle die and popped it up off of the card using some 3M foam tape. I hope you like my card and I thank you for visiting my blog!
