Warm Wishes-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

 

Hello and welcome to the year end collaboration of Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb. I cannot believe we are a week away from Christmas. This year has gone by so quickly and, if most of you feel the same way about 2020 as I do, that is a good thing. Deb and I decided to use a mood board this month as our inspiration for our cards. I love the blues and browns in this board and wanted to play off of that. To create my card I started by layering some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 card base. I then layered some pretty blue and white patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Silver & Gold 6x6 paper pad on top. I cut another band of brown and white paper from the same pad and centered it on the card. I stamped the Warm Wishes stamp from Neat and Tangled onto some white cardstock using Versamark clear ink and embossed it using Ranger's liquid platinum embossing powder. I stamped the mug again onto some blue patterned paper from the paper pad and fussy cut it out. I adhered it to the focal image and then die cut it using a circle die from Spellbinders. I then cut a slightly larger circle using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and some more early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. To finish my card I popped the focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape and finished the card off by adding some light blue enamel dots from Hobby Lobby. 

My coffee choice this month was a nice warm cup of Peppermint Mocha latte from Starbucks. It was perfect thing to warm me up during my Christmas shopping today in our misty, cold Southeast Missouri weather. Be sure to pop over to Deb's site and see what she created using our mood board. Today's card was created for the latest Sunday Stamps card challenge. To create my card I started by layering a piece of kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my A2 white card base. I then die cut a stitched rectangle panel out of white cardstock from Staples using a Gina Marie Designs die. Using patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 Signature Christmas paper pad I cut 3/4" strips in various lengths to create the branches of my tree. I adhered each piece using snail adhesive. The trunk of the tree is a piece of early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP cut down to a 3/4" by 3/4" square and the star is more of the patterned paper cut out using a simple star die I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I stamped the sentiment from the Amy R Big Christmas Wishes stamp set using Gina K Designs charcoal brown ink. I love how primitive and simple this card is. Season's Greetings

Today's card was created for the Cardz 4 Galz, Send A Smile 4 Kids, and Freshly Made Sketches card challenges. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable little snowman from the Inkadinkado Christmas Characters stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock, coloring it with my alcohol markers, and cutting it down with a Spellbinders circle die. I die cut a larger circle to frame it using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. I die cut a square of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas 6x6 paper pad and matted it with some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. I stamped the sentiment from the same Inkadinkado stamp set using Versamark clear ink and more early espresso cardstock and heat embossed it using white embossing powder from Ranger. To finish my card off I stamped a few of the snowflakes from the stamp set randomly around the white A2 card base using Stampin' UP's sahara sand ink. Love how adorably this turned out! 

 

 

Thankful-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Welcome to the November coffee and cards with Celeste and Deb collaboration! This month we decided we'd do something Thanksgiving related since Thanksgiving is this coming week. I know 2020 has been a tough year for all of us, and I know that the holidays are going to be vastly different for many of this year. But we all still have much to be grateful and thankful for. I know I certainly do and I wanted my card to reflect that. To create my card I started by layering some 1" circles I cut using a Stampin' UP circle punch and some pretty patterned paper from the Authentique 6x6 Essentials Collection paper pad directly onto my card panel. I then wrapped some natural twine from American Crafts around the panel, securing it in the back using some scotch tape. I then adhered the panel directly to the front of my A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment using a fun wood block stamp I found at the dollar spot at my local Target using Gina K Designs charcoal brown ink. I die cut the beautiful leaves using Jillian Designs Leaves and Petals dies and some Stampin' UP kraft cardstock. I adhered them to the card using foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives and then attached a bow using more of the same natural twine from American Crafts using a glue dot. To finish the card off I adhered a small yellow button I had in my stash directly to the leaves. Love how clean and simple this card. 

For my coffee this month I bought a bottle of cinnamon and vanilla cold brew from my local Aldi's and came home and put it on ice. And yes, it's as tasty as it sounds! Echo Park Coffee-Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I don't usually participate in the Coffee Lovers blog hop because I work crazy hours and just simply don't have time to comment on the many posts, but I was at my local Tuesday Morning yesterday to pick up a new bath mat and happened upon the Echo Park Coffee 6x6 paper pad. Well, I simply couldn't resist. I immediately came home and started creating using only my white A2 card bases and some black cardstock from Stampin' UP. The rest of the cards were created with cut apart sheet and patterned paper from that one simple kit. I got a bit carried away and created 3 of each design featured above! And I still have a ton of patterned paper and another cut apart sheet leftover! Anyway, I love how beautifully and simply these came together using one simple paper pack. Spooktacular-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

This month in honor of Halloween Deb and I decided to do Halloween themed cards. We also decided to use the same sketch. For my card I started by layering some grey cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 card base. I then layered some fun Halloween themed patterned papers from the We R Memory Keepers Bewitched 6x6 paper pad on top. I stamped the skull and sentiment from an old Stampin' Up bundle I bought from a crafting destash years ago using Versafine smokey grey ink. I trimmed the focal panel down and matted it with more grey cardstock and glued it directly onto my card. I added a matted strip of the patterned paper from some added interest and to break up the image from the sentiment. To finish off my card I added some clear sparking sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in both 6mm and 4mm. This fun little gem will be given to my best friend Alana, who adores Halloween!!

Be Thankful

Hello and happy Friday! Autumn is finally here...the weather has cooled off and the leaves are starting to change! My card today was created for the latest If You Give A Crafter A Cookie card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some burnt orange cardstock from The Paper Studio onto my A2 white card base and then some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP on top of that. I then layered a piece of patterned paper from an autumn themed paper pack I picked up at the dollar spot at my local Target on top. I stamped the sentiment from a stamp I also picked up in the dollar bin at Target onto some more early espresso cardstock using Versamagic ink and heat embossed it with some Recollections detail embossing powder in snow. I cut the cardstock down into a sentiment strip, matted it onto more of the burnt orange cardstock and popped it up off of the card using foam tape from 3M. I then die cut some leaves using crumbcake, early espresso, and burnt orange cardstocks and one of the dies from the Jillian Vance Leaves and Petals die set and layered it onto the sentiment strip. To complete my card I topped it off with some white embroidery thread I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I hope you like my adorable (and ridiculously inexpensive to create) card!

 

Boo-Coffee And Card With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to the September Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb! This month we are drawing inspiration from this gorgeous photo. I absolutely love fall and this year we are actually being blessed with cooler temps and beautiful fall foliage! This card cost me less than $3 to create. Yes, less than $3! I was shopping at my local Target last weekend and happened open the most adorable fall themed paper pack in the dollar spot. In that paper pack was a fun stencil. I couldn't resist...I bought it and another pack that was similar in style but had different colors. So, to create my card I started by layering some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white A2 card base and then layered the pretty fall themed patterned papers on top. Using a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things I die cut a panel and stamped the sentiment from a Stampin' UP Halloween stamp set using some Gina K charcoal brown ink. Then using the stencil and more of the Gina K charcoal brown and mango inks I created the fun pumpkin shape. Then I stamped the fun Jack O'lantern face using a stamp that I also found in the dollar spot at Target. To finish the card off I added brown dashed lines around the outer edge of the focal panel to help it pop against the patterned paper and then added foam tape to help pop it up off of the card. I love how sweet that Jack O'lantern face is!

For my coffee choice this month I opted for some pumpkin spice cold brew from Starbucks! Sorry no pic...I drank it while I was out driving and completely flaked on the photo! LOL

Seize The Cupcake

 

My card today was created for the latest Watercooler Wednesday card challenge. To create my card I started by die cutting a focal panel of kraft cardstock using a stitched scalloped edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I added white gel pen around the stitching lines for some added interest to make the panel pop against the white A2 card panel. I stamped the cupcake images from the Hero Arts Cupcakes stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the images out and edged them all using my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker to make them look clean and crisp. I popped them all up off of the focal panel using some foam squares and then added some Clear Wink of Stella to the frosting on all three cupcakes. To finish my card off I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added some pretty sequins I picked up at my local Tuesday Morning. Love how fun and whimsical this card is!

Today's card was created for the latest Just Us Girls card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some fun text patterned paper from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut some kraft cardstock down into a focal panel using a stitched scalloped edge die from Gina Marie Designs and added some white gel pen around the stitched detail to really make it pop. I cut the butterflies out using a punch from Martha Stewart and more patterned paper from the same Pebbles paper pad. I attached them all with a glue dot and popped the wings up with foam squares for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine smokey grey ink and attached the focal panel to the card. For a nice finishing touch I added some seed pearls from Paper Studios to the centers of the butterflies. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! 

Thinking Of You-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

 

Hello and welcome to another Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb! We are at the end of August and rapidly approaching Autumn so, we thought it would appropriate to create an Autumn scene on our card collaboration this month. To create my card I started with a piece of Canson cold press watercolor paper and stamped the images from Altenew's Birch Land stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink because it's water proof. Using my Tim Holtz distress inks I stamped the leaves around the birch tree, the basket, and in various spots along the ground using both direct ink to paper stamping and ink pad with a spritz of water. Using a fine water color brush I added some details to the bird house, the basket, and the birch tree. I die cut the watercolored panel using a Gina Marie stitched edge rectangle die and then matted the panel onto some rust cardstock I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I matted the entire focal panel onto my A2 white card base and that completes my card. I love how this turned out. 

For my coffee choice this month I opted for a nice iced cinnamon latte from one of the food trucks at my local farmers market downtown. I chose to walk the 2 miles down there and it was muggy so, this was a much needed icy treat!

Hello and happy Friday! I hope everyone is staying safe out there. My card today was created for the latest Inspired By card challenge.

To create my card I started by layering some patterned paper from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I then stamped the adorable pups and heart from the Paper Smooches Paws For A Cause stamp set onto my white cardstock using Memento inks. I then stamped the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler stamp set using more Memento ink. I added more patterned paper from the same Pebbles paper pad at the top of the panel. For some added interest and to break up the cardstock and patterned paper I wrapped some dark brown twine from We R Memory Keepers around it and tied a bow. I added some 3M foam tape behind the panel and popped it up off of the card for some fun dimension. Gnome For The Holidays-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to the July installment of Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb. We decided we would do a Christmas in July theme this month. Those of us who create our own Christmas cards know you have to get a jump start on those. I typically send out anywhere between 50-75 cards per year so this is about the time of year I usually get started on that. To create my card I started by layering some patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp Noel 6x6 paper pad onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut a sloped snow bank using white cardstock and a border die from Simon Says Stamp and adhered that directly on the patterned paper panel. I die cut the tree image from some light green cardstock using one of the Taylored Expressions Evergreen dies. I added some snow to the image using my white gel pen and colored the trunk brown using a Memento cocoa brown dual tip marker and adhered that to the card. I then die cut some sweet little snowflakes using a Paper Smooches die, adhered them to the card, and added a little sparkle to the centers by applying a dot of Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard. I die cut the adorable little gnome using a Gina Marie Designs die and more of the patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp Noel collection, colored his nose and beard using my Copic markers, and popped that fun little guy up using some foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. I stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Gnome For The Holidays stamp set onto the snow bank using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice, crisp look. I added a sweet little red heart sequin from Pretty Pink Posh to the gnomes hat and finished him off by added some drops of Stickles in Christmas red to his shirt and to the tip of his hat. Love how adorable this turned out!

For my coffee choice this month I opted for a nice, tall iced mocha latte from Duncan Donuts because it's ridiculously hot here and I had to mow my lawn this morning. This really hit the spot!

Welcome baby

Hello and happy Saturday! My card today was created for the latest The Sisterhood Of Crafters card challenge. To create my card I started by layering on some Tim Holtz distress inks in the colors salty ocean, faded jeans, and broken china onto a white card panel using a My Favorite Things Drifts and Hills border stencil. I spritzed some water onto the cardstock and blotted it off and then some light spatter using the same colors of distress inks. I trimmed the panel down using a Gina Marie Designs stitched border rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Baby stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink and then popped the panel up off of the card using some inexpensive fun foam I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I then stamped the whales from the Alley Way Stamps Something Fishy and Little Fellas stamp sets onto some Copic-friendly white cardstock and then colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut them out and went around the edges of each image using my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker for a nice clean look. I popped them up onto the card using some foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. To finish off my card I stamped a few of the bubbles from the Something Fishy stamp set. Today's card was created for the latest The Male Room challenge. To create my card I started by layering some blue cardstock from the Momenta Cardstock Mats paper pad that I had cut down into two rectangle panels onto my white A2 card base. I then layered some fun masculine patterned paper from the Pink & Main Spring Color Pop 6x6 paper pad on top. I stamped my focal image and sentiment from the Darcie's Heart & Home You Nailed It stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it with my alcohol markers. I added some white dotted details with my white gel pen and then die cut the image to create an oval panel using a pierced edge My Favorite Things oval die. One In A Melon

Hello and Happy Independence Day! My card today was created for the latest Color Throwdown challenge. To create my card I started by laying some pretty plaid patterned paper from the Pink & Main Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad onto my A2 white card base at an angle. I then added a thin sliver of basic black cardstock from Stampin' UP at the edge to create some visual contrast. I stamped the watermelons from the Impression Obsession Watermelon Layering stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut them out and edged all around them with my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker for a nice clean look. I stamped the sentiment from the IO stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink and popped the watermelon up off of the card using foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. Hello and happy Sunday! Deb and I decided that "anything goes" this month for our collaboration. I wanted to created a birthday card this month since I noticed I was getting a little low on those and those seem to be what I send the most to friends and family. To create my card I started by layering a pretty piece of gingham patterned paper from the Pink & Main Beach Bum 6x6 paper pad onto my A2 white card base. I then cut a banner out of some patterned paper from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad using a fish tail banner die from Jillian Vance Designs and adhered it onto my card. I then die cut a circle panel using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and stamped the background image using navy ink from Gina K Designs and an image from the Stampin' UP Wetlands stamp set. I then stamped the sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Botanical Silhouettes stamp set using the same navy ink. I then stamped the layering butterfly from the Bo Bunny Flutter stamp set onto white cardstock using Stampin' UP's bashful blue ink and Gina K Designs navy ink and fussy cut the image out. I popped it up off of the card panel and finished the card off by adding some pretty clear rhinestones from The Paper Studio in various sizes. Congratulations On Your Marriage!

Today's card was created for the latest The Sisterhood Of Crafters challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the beautiful wedding dress from the Stampin' UP Love & Laughter stamp set onto some white cardstock and fussy cut the image out. Using the Stampin' UP Owl Builder punch I punched a small red heart and adhered it to the dress. I die cut a panel of white cardstock using a stitched edge rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs and stamped the sentiment from the same Stampin' UP wedding stamp set using Memento love letter red ink. I cut a panel of Paper Studio patterned paper and adhered a pretty lacy scalloped border I created using a Stampin' UP punch and adhered both directly to my A2 white card base. I popped the rectangle panel up off of the card using some 3M foam tape and then adhered the dress onto the panel using some foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives for some nice dimension. Happy Father's Day

Wow, it's been a hot minute since I posted a card. I really need to stop playing outside so much and get back to cardmaking! Today's card was created for the latest Tuesday Throwdown card challenge. 

To create this fun and easy card I started by layering some basic black cardstock onto my white A2 card base. I then cut down some shaped pieces of dark red cardstock to create a shirt bracket, collar, and breast pocked and backed each of those pieces with more of the black cardstock. I cut down a piece of plaid patterned paper from the Pink & Main Beach Bum 6x6 paper pad and added that a border of more black cardstock. I added all of those elements onto the card base to create a shirt. To finish my card I die cut some buttons using a MFT button die and more of the black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Happy Father's Day stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. To finish my card I added some black dashed lines around all of the elements to create a threaded seam. I will be sending this to my dad for Father's Day next week.
