I Can't Even! Need Coffee Now!

Today's card was created for the latest AAA Cards Challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the coffee pot and cups from the Your Next Stamp's Perk Up stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored them in rainbow order using my alcohol markers. I layered a small piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Story Teller 6x6 paper pad onto the bottom of the panel to make it look like a table. I stamped the sentiment at the top of the panel using Versafine onyx black ink and stamps from Honey Bee Stamps Blah Blah Blah stamp set. I then popped the entire panel up off of the card using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby and this clean and simple card was done. I hope you like it! Be sure to click the subscribe button on the right and if you like my card leave me a comment. I really appreciate them all!

Hey There My Friend

Today's card was created for the latest Freshly Made Sketches. I love to make cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids and am long overdue shipping some out, so thought I'd get busy making a few more. This sketch inspired me to break out some fun kids stamps. I started by inking up the Your Next Stamp Happy Meal images onto some Copic-friendly cardstock and fussy cutting them out after they were colored. I adhered some patterned papers from the We R Memory Keepers Hall Pass 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I adhered my images directly down onto the card base and then stamped the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler stamp set using some Versafine onyx black ink. As a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to the eyes and the soda bottle. Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you like my card!

Coffee And Friends-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to another Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb collaboration. We have another guest designer with us this month, the wonderful Hetty Sanders. Hetty is a fabulous crafter from the Netherlands and is responsible for the Coffee Lovers card swap and we can't thank her enough for all of the tireless work she puts into making that happen each month!

This month we opted for a mood board and, I chose this pretty pastel palette for our starting point. Love the beautiful colors!  I wanted to create a fun and sweet card representing my friendship with my dear friend Deb. She and I met on the Coffee Lovers Facebook group years ago and have been close crafty friends ever since.  I created this card to represent Deb and I. She's blonde and I'm brunette and I think it's clear we both love our coffee! I started by cutting down some pretty ombre patterned paper in pink from the We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard 6x6 paper pad and mounted it directly onto my white card base. I then die cut a stitched line rectangle panel using some Canson cold press watercolor paper. I stamped the table from the Sugar Pea Designs Read Between The Lines stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. The coffee cups are from the Your Next Stamp's Perk Up stamp set. The friends are the new Unity Stamp Company's Planner Gals, Don't Be Perfect and Be A Beauty. And the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Be A Barista stamp set. Once all of the images were dry I watercolored them using my Tim Holtz distress inks. To finish off the card I popped the panel up using some 3M foam tape, added some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers in their hair, the coffee mugs, and their shirts, and added a few clear rhinestones from Recollections as a finishing touch.

As for my coffee choice this month, I opted for a small Starbucks Iced Cascara Coconut Milk Latte. It was good but not my favorite latte they offer. Anyway, be sure to pop on over to Hetty and Deb's site, and be sure and wish her a happy birthday too!

Perk Up

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To CAS challenge.
As I've mentioned before, I have a problem creating clean and simple cards. I like layers and dimension on my cards but thought I could definitely get behind a clean and simple card involving coffee. I started by layering a small strip of woodgrain paper from a cheap Target 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base and added some squiggly lines around the outer edge of my card using my Memento tuxedo black dual tip marker. I then stamped the coffee pot and the mug images from the Your Next Stamp Perk UP stamp set directly onto my card base for placement. I then stamped all of the images again onto Copic friendly cardstock, colored them all in using autumn colors, fussy cut them out, and mounted them onto the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. For a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to all of the elements for some additional dimension and shine. Love how quick and easy this card was to create!

You're Frytastic

I sat down this afternoon with the intention of creating a coffee themed card for the Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop but I just wasn't feeling it. I've had a lot on my mind lately and needed to make something light-hearted and fun. What's more fun than a kid's card, right? So, I decided to create another card for the Send A Smile 4 Kids card drive. I started with the adorable french fry character from Your Next Stamp's Happy Meal stamp set and added on the smiley face from the same set. I created a mask by stamping the same image onto a post-it note and fussy cut it out and adhered it to the body of the image. I then stamped the arms and legs from the Your Next Stamp's Create A Character mini stamp set. I then Copic colored the image, fussy cut it out, and edged it with a black Memento marker to give it a nice die cut look. For my card I layered on some pretty turquoise paper from Hobby Lobby onto my white card base. I then layered on the polka dot patterned paper from Ki's Color Crush 6x6 paper pad. I cut a smaller panel and edged it with the same turquoise paper and adhered it to the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp look and then stamped the hearts from the stamp set using Gina K's red hot ink. I popped the french fry character up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals, added some Glossy Accents to the eyes and hearts and some black faux stitching along the smaller panel edges and all around the polka dots on the card panel. I think this card is just too stinking cute and I hope it will bring a smile to some child's face when they receive it in the hospital! Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation!

Have A Supersized Day!

Today's card was created for the latest CYCI sketch challenge. As soon as I saw this sketch I knew which stamp set I wanted to use. I had just purchased the Your Next Stamp Happy Meal and the coordinating Create A Character stamp sets. I knew the sentiment would fit perfectly in the strip on the sketch and the characters would be perfect for the circle element. I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Hall Pass 6x6 paper pad onto a white card base. I die cut a circle using more white cardstock using an X stitched die from Gina Marie Designs and adhered it straight onto my card. I cut a long thin piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment onto it using Versafine onyx black ink and adhered it onto the cardbase overlapping the circle a bit. I stamped my little characters out using Memento tuxedo black ink and then colored them in using Copic markers. I fussy cut them out, edged them with a Memento dual tip marker for a nice clean look and then popped them up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. Once adhered I added some clear Wink of Stella to them and some Glossy Accents to their eyes to make them look a bit like googly eyes. I added some black Wink of Stella to the word Supersized and then some black dashed lines around the outside of the card. I hope you like it!
