Love You Coffee-February Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to the February Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb! Since February is the month where we focus on love Deb and I thought it would be fun to step away from traditional Valentine's cards and do a coffee/love themed card. To create my card I layered some grey Stampin' UP cardstock onto the base and layered some patterned papers from the Crate Paper Main Squeeze 6x6 paper pad on top. The sentiment was created using some creative masking and stamping and sentiments from Altenew's Coffee Love stamp set and Versafine onyx black ink. I stamped the awesome coffee cup using the Stamplorations Coffee Cup stamp set and some white cardstock, more of the grey cardstock, and some more the patterned paper from that same Crate Paper paper pad. I fussy cut them all out and adhered them to each other and added some shading on them using my Copic alcohol markers. I die cut a heart using a Paper Smooches die and stamped the "XO" sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Claire's ABC's stamp set and more Versafine onyx black ink. I adhered that directly to the mug and popped it up off of my card using some Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares. 

For my coffee this  month I opted for an iced toasted almond latte from Dunkin Donuts. I know it's cold here in Southeast Missouri but I'd been out running errands and was having a hot flash. I love U-Unity Stamp Company Paper Piecing Challenge

Hello and happy Sunday! It's cold, wet, and rainy here today and I'm fighting a cold, so I'm enjoying a lazy Sunday in my sweats with a piping cup of coffee and some Pandora. My card today was created for the latest Facebook Unity {Show & Tell} paper piecing challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the Unity Stamp Company's Love Bug stamp onto some kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I stamped the image again onto some patterned paper from the Crate Paper Little Bo Peep 6x6 paper pad and fussy cut the image. I went around the outer edges with my Memento dual tip marker to give it a nice, clean finished look and adhered it directly to the cardstock. I added some dimension and shadowing to the stamped image using my Copic markers and added some white gel pen to the rearview mirror. I stamped the sentiment from the same Unity stamp set onto the license plate bracket using Versafine onyx black ink. To add some additional interest to the card I cut a small strip of patterned paper from the same paper pad and added a decorative border on the top and bottom using an edge die from Stamplorations. I adhered the strip down to the card base and added some decorative hearts die cut from the same paper pad using a Paper Smooches heart die. I rounded the corners of the panel using my We R Memory Keepers corner chomper and adhered it to my A2 white card base. To finish this card off I added some black dashed lines around the outer edge of the card, the hearts, and the decorative strip. Merry-Coffee And Cards With Celeste And Deb

Hello and welcome to the January Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and aren't covered up with too much snow. We got our first heavy snow of the season this past week. This month Deb and I chose to use a mood board as our starting point for our cards. I found this fun image on Pinterest and fell in love with the earthy colors and the snow! To create my card I started by layering a strip of mint and gold foil hearts patterned paper from the Crate Paper Main Squeeze 6x6 paper pad onto a piece of Simple Stories woodgrain paper. I then added a strip of gold glitter washi tape from American Crafts Make It Happen collection to the side for some added shine and interest. I mounted that panel to my A2 white card base. I then stamped the beautiful image from the Unity Stamp Company's February KOTM stamp set Being Who You are onto some white copic-friendly cardstock and colored it using coordinating colors to the mood board. I die cut the image using a pierced edge oval die from My Favorite Things and adhered it directly onto the card panel. To finish off this simple card I stamped the sentiment from the Unity Stamp Company's October KOTM stamp set All Winter Long using Versafine onyx black ink onto a white strip of paper and adhered it directly below the focal image. 

For my coffee selection this month I opted for a Starbuck's Cinnamon Shortbread latte.  And yes, it's as tasty as it sounds!

You're Purrfect

Today's card was created for the latest Less Is More card challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the adorable cat and his little ball of yarn onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the images using my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out. Using some patterned papers from the Crate Paper Story Teller 6x6 paper pad I die cut a stitched edge rectangle with a Gina Marie Designs die and layered it onto my white card base using fun foam from Hobby Lobby. I then die cut a pierced edge circle using more white cardstock and more patterned paper from the same paper pad with a die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the sentiment using Memento London fog ink and a sentiment stamp from the Paper Smooches Feline Friends stamp set onto the circle panel. I adhered the panel directly to the card, mounted the cat onto the panel using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and adhered the yarn ball directly to the panel using snail adhesive. To finish my card I added two small clear rhinestones from Recollections on either side of the sentiment. Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a wonderful weekend!

I Can't Even! Need Coffee Now!

Today's card was created for the latest AAA Cards Challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the coffee pot and cups from the Your Next Stamp's Perk Up stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored them in rainbow order using my alcohol markers. I layered a small piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Story Teller 6x6 paper pad onto the bottom of the panel to make it look like a table. I stamped the sentiment at the top of the panel using Versafine onyx black ink and stamps from Honey Bee Stamps Blah Blah Blah stamp set. I then popped the entire panel up off of the card using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby and this clean and simple card was done. I hope you like it! Sending Love

Today's card was created for both the Send A Smile 4 Kids card drive and the Cards From the Heart Card Drive. I made four of the same card and will send two of them to each card drive. To create my card I started by layering some Stampin' UP crumb cake cardstock onto a white cardbase. I then cut a white panel down to and die cut nine circles using a Spellbinders die. Then using some pretty patterned papers from the Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection and Chickaniddy Crafts Twirly Girly 6x6 paper pads I punched nine little hearts using a Stampin' UP punch. I popped the panel and the hearts up off of the main panel for some added dimension and interest using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. To finish this fun and simple card I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Grand Greetings stamp set directly onto the main panel using Versamark onyx black ink. Happy Birthday Journey

Today's card was created for my precious little granddaughter Journey for her 7th birthday. She loves all things pink and I usually create something girly for her but I decided to do a fun and whimsical little party monster for her card this year. I started with a white card base and layered a floral piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper's Paper Heart Collection 6x6 paper pad. I then die cut a stitched rectangle of Copic friendly cardstock using a Gina Marie Designs die. I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler stamp set using Memento tuxedo black ink. I then stamped the hat from Stampabilities Party Hats stamp. I created a mask for the hat and then stamped the adorable little monster from Paper Smooches Falling For You stamp set and the balloon from The Greeting Farm's Hello Unicorn stamp set. I colored all of the images in using various shades of pink Copic markers. I die cut the banners using a The Cat's Pajama's die and coordinating papers from the same Crate Paper paper pad. I adhered them directly onto the card and added some Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to the monster and the other elements for some pretty shine and shimmer. I popped the entire focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape. Journey loved it as well as her gifts. This year she wanted My Little Pony and mermaid things so I obliged her. She and her mom and dad came to town today and we had a wonderful afternoon playing and eating out...right up until it was time to go. She always gets so sad when she has to leave grandma and it breaks my heart. 

Here she is with mom at Le Bounce. She just loves that place. It's the one place where she can be the little daredevil she truly is and not hurt herself. LOL.

Cue those big crocodile tears! They get me every time!!!

Warm Wishes

I saw this awesome sketch layout over on the Reverse Confetti blog and wanted to case it. I will not be entering the challenge since I have a very limited amount of RC stamps and they are required to win, but I thought I'd have fun casing the sketch. I started with a white card base and layered on some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP on top. I cut an angled piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things 6x6 paper pad and adhered that directly onto the card. I also cut down a small strip of white cardstock and added that between the espresso cardstock and the patterned paper just to break it up a bit and add interest. I cut a smaller rectangular panel from the same patterned paper pad and matted it using the same brown and white cardstocks and adhered it directly onto the card. I die cut the circles and the doily shape from the same cardstocks and some crumb cake from Stampin' UP using both Spellbinders and My Favorite Things dies. I glued them all together and then adhered them directly onto the card base. I stamped the mug and the flower from Paper Smooches Warm Wishes stamp set, colored them using Copic markers, fussy cut them out and popped them up off of the focal panel using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set, added a few espresso 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh above it, and some white dashed lines around the outer edges to finish this card off! I will be giving this card to my September recipient in the Coffee Lovers card swap I participate in. I hope you like it!

Coffee & Friends

My second card today was created for the latest MOJO Monday challenge. I love this sketch and had a lot of fun with picking patterned papers and paper piecing on the focal image. I started by layering some early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my white card base. I cut some 1 1/8" strips of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things 6x6 paper pad and adhered them onto my base. I printed the digital freebie from Stamplorations that was available during the Coffee Lovers Summer Blog Hop this June and did some paper piecing from the same paper pad to create some fun and funky to-go coffee cups. I stamped the heart from the Reverse Confetti I Like You stamp set onto the sleeves of the cups. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Be A Barista stamp set onto some white card stock and hand cut a fish tail banner and adhered it onto the panel. I popped the whole thing up off of the card for great dimension using 3M foam tape. I hope you like it!

There's Always Time For Tea

Today's card was created as a thank you for some blog candy I received during the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop from fellow coffee loving cardmaker Danielle Vincent. You can find find her and all of her crafty goodness over at her blog here. Danielle sent me the wonderful new Stampin' UP Nice Cuppa stamp set and I couldn't resist inking it up immediately and sending her a wonderful thank you card for her generous act of kindness! For my card I started by stamping the stacked tea cups onto some white cardstock using Gina K ink in red hot and die cutting them with some fun new Gina Marie Designs dies I just got in this week. Love those wonky stitched lines around the border! I then took my Crop-A-Dile and punched a hole at the top of the mugs and onto the little tea bag tag that I stamped separately and fussy cut out. I attached some inexpensive white rickrack I picked up at Hobby Lobby to both ends to make it look like a tea bag string. I layered some cherry cobbler cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my card base and then a pretty floral piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection 6x6 paper pad on top. I popped the focal panel up off of the card with some 3M foam tape for added dimension. I hope you like it!  

Apple Of My Eye

Today's card was created for the latest Retro Sketches challenge. I have been making quite a few cards lately for the Send A Smile 4 Kids charity. If you're not familiar with them you can check it out here. I started with a white card base and then layered some basic black cardstock from Stampin' UP and some fun patterned paper from Crate Paper's Pretty Party 6x6 paper pad. I cut down a small panel of crumb cake cardstock from Stampin' UP and used a punch from EK Success to create the notebook edge on top. I added a bit of black jute at the top from American Crafts and tied it off into a little bow. I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's My Silly Valentine at the bottom in black ink and then stamped the apple from Paper Smooches Falling For You onto some white cardstock. I Copic colored the image, fussy cut it out, edged it with a black dual tip marker to make it look like a die cut and then popped it up off of the panel using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I added some black dashed lines around the card for some interest and contrast and then popped the focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape. I hope you like it!

Happy Birthday

Today's card was created for the latest Retro Sketches challenge. I love this layout and knew I had to create something using it. I started with a white card base and layered on a piece of apricot cardstock from Hobby Lobby and some white cardstock from Staples. I layered a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things 6x6 paper pad. I took another piece of the apricot cardstock and cut it down into a narrow panel and punched the scalloped edge using a Fiskars punch. I adhered that down to the card panel and then layered on another piece of patterned paper from the same Crate Paper pack and edged it with more apricot paper. I cut that piece at an angle to mimic the sketch. I then stamped the birthday sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set using Gina K ink. I die cut the sentiment using a pretty stitched banner die from Lil' Inker designs and edged it using some more of the apricot cardstock. For my focal panel I stamped the beautiful rose trio from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Old Country Roses stamp set using Gina K inks. I die cut the roses using a pierced edge circle die from My Favorite Things and mounted it and the banner sentiment up off of the card using 3M foam tape for added dimension. I love how pretty and feminine this stamp set is and am pleased with how the card turned out using this great sketch. I hope you like it!

Take Life One Cup At A Time

My second card today was created for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop and uses two new fun stamp sets that I recently snagged in anticipation of the hop. I started with a white card base and layered on a mat of black cardstock and some patterned paper from Crate Paper Pretty Party 6x6 paper pad. I die cut a stitched border panel using a Gina Marie Design die and stamped the mug from the Unity Stamp Company Java Friend. I stamped the mug again onto some of the patterned papers from the same Crate Paper pad and fussy cut them out. I added some depth and dimension using Copic markers in warm grays and then popped the image up using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I colored in the steam hearts using my copics and added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for some pretty shimmer. The sentiment is from the Latina Crafter One Cup At A Time stamp set. I added a black mat border around the stitched panel and popped the whole thing up off of the card using some 3M foam tape. A few raspberry sequins from Pretty Pink Posh complete this cute card!

Wishing You

Today's card was created for two different challenges...CAS(E) This Sketch and Curtain Call. I loved the layout on the CAS(E) challenge and adore the inspiration photo on the Curtain Call challenge. I decided to combine both and create one card. I started with a gorgeous stamp from Unity Stamp Company called Wishing You Joy. I love paper piecing with this fun stamp set and thought it would be fun to try in various shades of pink. I started with some pretty patterned papers from the Crate Paper Little Bo Beep 6x6 paper pad. I stamped and fussy cut the flowers in different shades of pink from the paper pad. Once those were all cut out I layered one of the patterned papers onto my white card base and then die cut a white panel using a stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig tool I selectively stamped the flowers several times in varying heights and then glued on my fussy cut papers and did a little shading on them with some Copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiment from Verve Stamps Wishing You stamp set using Versamark ink and Recollections snow white detail embossing powder. I glued the sentiment panel to the focal piece and then mounted it up off of the card using some 3M foam tape for some nice dimension. I just love the way this turned and think it would be fun to make a set of these in different colors with different sentiments. I hope you like it too!

You Make Life Sweet

My second card today is for the Just Us Girls Word Week #309 card challenge. The challenge was to use apples or an apple on your card. I knew immediately that the perfect stamp set for this would be my Fresh Squeezed Stamps The Sweet Life. It has the most adorable stitched apple stamp and a basket to match. I stamped my apples out using some adorable patterned papers from the Crate Paper Paper Heart 6x6 paper pad. The colors are beautiful and it seemed like the perfect match for the stamps. Once all of the apples were stamped I fussy cut them out and edged them with my Memento tuxedo black dual edged marker to make them look perfectly die cut. I took my Copic R24 marker and went around the outer stitched edge of each of the apples to darken them up and make the inside patterned paper look lighter. I stamped the basket on some of the same patterned papers and fussy cut the basket's edge from some contrasting paper for added interest. I colored the heart in with the same Copic marker. I added my patterned paper panels to the card base and then glued the apples down using some Tombo Mono liquid glue. I chose to pop the basket and one of the apples up using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and then stamped the stems and leaves from the stamp set and colored them in using Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment with an extra leaf, which I colored, and then added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to complete my card. I hope you like it!
